Interesting point Gopher. We never know what will be. How often have we heard about somebody or some company getting sued for something that made our jaw's drop to the floor, as in "What will people come up with next? He/she sued him/her/them for THAT?" And won. *heehee*

Another good point John Doe. But, as far as I know, I haven't converted anyone in my 30 years to become a JW. *thankGod* I'm getting your point. I'm just annoyed at how they still continue to take advantage of good people and leave them destitute, specifically the Fulltime & Special Pioneers. John Doe, how do you feel about the ones who suffered for doing good?

You're right, John Doe, but...I was only 14, hardly an age to take control of my life and it was after 30 years, after being controlled & brainwashed, (loss of control) that I realized how wrong they were. Anyway, was just a thought and wanted to hear what others had to say on the matter. Sad thing is, so many wanted to do good and were compelled to do so or else. In any case, they caused damage and continue to do so, and that's what I feel is wrong.

since the elders didn't really want to be responsible for them, they decreed that the family should help out first.

i haven't heard about it, but what about them dead sea scrolls that were found years ago?
since i haven't seen them yet, i can't help wonder if it's even true that such scrolls were found.
why are they not out there for the public, i.e.

Why are we not all getting together as a group and get back at the Borg for what they have done to us? "There is strength in numbers" and definitely enough of us. We have all suffered in similar ways, some more than others. The Borg has enough money to compensate for our lack of schooling for instance. They should be obligated to reimburse us to further our education now. And/or reimburse us for other personal issues that we have suffered through. I know so many who have fulltime pioneered all their lives and have no health insurance nor any assets to retire on.
What are your thoughts? Why would this not be possible?

the awake magazines are down to once a month.
the new releases are now down to one book.. there are several "special campaigns" of offering leaflets- invitations to the memorial or dc and kingdom news.. here are some of the additional possible cost-saving measures.

Cut-backs only mean larger profits (less expenditures for production) No, we need something better than cut-backs. How about penalties from the government if printing productions exceed 1 set of rags per year????

No time to check on our elderly? Of course not, the BORG has us under pressure to do their dirty work first, resulting in the more loving deeds to be neglected. Another strike against them.

I never paid that much attention in the past, but when my mother (current age 85) whose had leg problems since a car accident years ago wanted to bring into her KH a lawn chair more like a lounger which would allow her to sit with her legs stretched out, they wouldn't allow it. She never went back. This was back in ca. 1986 and has been out of the Borg ever since. But it was numerous issues that turned her off anyway. Good for her!

I might add, they also reluctantly or never would pick her up to take her to the hall, as she couldn't drive anymore. I was living in another state myself with my own family to tend to, so I couldn't help her.
