by veradico inthe lady on the phone told me that if i could get to chicago in time for a 1 pm flight i could still make it to nh that day.
if one has strong faith in ones faith, he should not fear other belief systems.

Follow up on JW relative's e-mail from last night.
by dawg inok, so jw relative e-mails me back and says he agrees that its not wrong to question the dogma of men... i said in last night's e-mail that the bible doesn't say that questioning men (the gb) is an act of apostacy-now he agrees.
that means i'm making headway..... then he says that he will "objectivley" research the 607bc thing, and the great crowd thing that i brought up in last night's e-mail.
if he does, he'll know for a fact that the gb has known for years that 1914 is wrong... damn skippy!.

JWs who were actually cool
by Black Man inwe always talk about the crazy j-dub fundy types, but i knew some cool jws (co, do, bethelites, pio) during my time.
this is kind of a "where are they now" post along with acknowledginig some jws who were cool and down-to-earth.
as with most "cool" and good people in the borg, most of them are either not jws anymore (burned out) or are not "serving" in responsible positions (funny how that works, isn't it).

My friend that I'm always talking about. If everyone in that damn religion was like her there might be hope. Don't get me wrong, she's pretty hardcore but seems to be a little more open minded. I love her so much, i hope one day......
There's also a guy she hangs out with that is awesome until the subject comes up...

Does anyone have a Blue-Ray or HD DVD player - Wow! nice picture!
by Witness 007 inmy video store has a plasma t,v which plays blue-ray movies all day long...now i want one!!
the picture quality is many times clearer then normal dvd {remember vhs hah}...the sound is heaps better.
is it "meterialistic" of me to spend alot of cash on something i don't "need?

this is a collection of confidential letters from the watchtower society that were sent to the bodies of elders in the years 1981 through 2006. these are the letters that you were never meant to see or read.. there's all sorts of information in them ranging from the boring and mundian to instructions about how to handle child molesters.. many thanks to darth frosty and others (who i'm not sure can be named) who worked very hard and took risks to collect and scan the information.

could my friend have seen some light?
by 4mylove inso i'm on the phone with my friend, and to make a long story short, i explain that my brother in law is now not answering phone calls from his sister in reference to my parents in law.
they were out of town, and my fil became ill. the haven't been able to come home for a month now, and my sis in law has been working, her hubby has been working, and yet they have taken on the business while they are gone to be able to keep money coming in to cover medical expenses, while they are out of the country!
this holy roller had initially spoken to her but the communication line is tight because she ran away with her bf 2.5 years ago and have been married ever since.

She is a Witness. Has been all her life. We were in school together many many moons ago. We've always been friends. My hubby has been a dub since the age of about 10 I think but has been inactive for about 5-6 years now. He is still in the same mentallity but i believe he has seen glimpses of light. I believe my friend is pretty free spirited according to their standards. Sorry for the confusion.
