Haa Haa! Now my wife will be jealous! At least somebody thinks I'm awesome. I think I'll print this out and put it up on the refrigerator. :)

Of The 5 Meetings, Was There One You Hated More Than The Others?
by minimus inusually, i enjoyed the public talk, if the speaker was good but i thought the theocratic ministry was boring!!!.
the service meeting was just a sales meeting.
the book studies were simply ridiculous.

I hated the Theocratic Ministry School. I listened to the same dolts year after year giving talks and not improving in any way. Hell, most of them couldn't even read at an adult level. If it truly was a "school" I would say that the class had over a 90% failure rate. I, for one, dropped out because I knew there was no way to "graduate" and no longer attend. I was giving better talks at 10 years old than most of the adults, so it was severly boring. It was one of the worst forms of punishment I was ever made to endure. I quit the theocratic ministry school and started attending a real school and got a couple of degrees. The public talks were the best, or the least of the worst. But, the public talk was only as good as the speaker. In our area, that meant that most of the public talks sucked pendulous donkey nut sack as well. In the end, spending time on the inside of a Kingdom Hall for any reason is time ill spent. The only way a Kingdom Hall meeting is interesting is if you're on drugs.

Your countries flag
by DJK infive years ago i purchased my first home.
one of the first things i did was hang the flag.
(american).

I fly the flag on all appropriate days. I don't leave it up every day because that would mean having to take it down every night. I notice a lot of people flying the flag and leaving it up at night or letting it get rained on. Technically, this is disrespectful. When I fly it, I make sure that it is treated properly. Up at dawn, down at sunset, and it doesn't touch the ground. Where I work, we fly the USA flag and the Union Jack because our company is headquartered in the UK. We have the same procedure at work. Flags up at dawn, down at sunset. We have a lot of people around Atlanta who fly the Mexican flag. My wife is from Trinidad, and she has a little T&T flag. Not sure where she's put it since we moved. She likes to irritate people, so she put the St. Andrew's Cross (rebel flag) on her front bumper and an American flag on the rear. I have an American flag decal in my rear window of the car. That's about it. :)

A Question for those of you who run on Empty gas tanks?
by restrangled ini am going to guess there are few to no women who do this.
it has to be mainly guys.....and why take the chance is my question?.
i never go below 1/3 of a tank and refill.

I never, ever let the car get below 1/4 of a tank because it is extrememly bad for your fuel pump. I, for one, being a guy, would much rather stop and fill up with gas than have to replace a fuel pump. My wife, on the other hand, tries to get the tank as low a possible so she can make it to Saturday when we usually go out together. Then, she says, "Let's take MY car" so I then have to fill it up with gas. EVERY guy I know lives with the same situation. I had to put 2 fuel pumps in 3 years in my wife's vehicle because of this. I told her that the next time she's getting under there and dropping the fuel tank herself! (Yeah, right!)

District Assemblies Not All They are Cracked Up to Be
by WTWizard inyou hear about them for so long.
the grand boasting session is supposed to be the biggie.
there is so much hype about the motels that are on the list, which will come out right around jan 1. you are supposed to call ahead, and usually people get busy signals and full motels.

I remember assemblies at the Stanley Theater in Jersey City. It is such a beautiful building. I just wish it was being used for something interesting. Do they just use it for foriegn language assemblies now? Anyway.... we had a lot of outdoor assemblies when I was a kid. Either at Yankee Stadium or the Meadowlands or Veteran's Stadium in Philthadelphia. It was always such a joy sitting in the hot summer sun, in a suit, as a kid for hours and hours on end with nothing to drink for three or four days. There was always the added treat of a quick thunderstorn that got you wet, but also made it unbearably humid. Being really fair-skinned didn't help, either. So, I always had a massive headache and sunburn, and usually a sore ass from getting spanked for not sitting still through the whole thing. Oh, the memories. That was summer vacation, folks. Nope, no Disney Land for us! Ha ha ha. I will never, ever, ever put my child through that crap. Sorry. If all the families that waste all that time and money at assemblies could get that time and money back, their lives would be so much better.

Idea on what we can do with all our old meeting clothes....
by avishai inthey used to have a donation place where i live that gave low income women business attire for job interviews, why they did'nt have one for men i dunno.
they're no longer around, but i'd like to start a non-profit w/ clothes, etc.
for low income, homeless etc.

I used some of my old shirts to wipe up after changing the oil in the car. The suits were so crappy I threw them away. I use old watchtowers and awakes to start the fireplace. Now if I can just find a use for all those unused "tickets" you used to have to buy to get breakfast and lunch at the conventions.... I tried using them at McDonald's, but they weren't accepting them.

Do all men cheat?
by Save My Soul ina friend (someone i respected a great deal / mentor) at my job has shared some information with me.
he cheats on his wife.
wow!!.

I have never cheated on anyone, especially my wife. However, as I have told the wife in the past, I'm a good dog, but you have to pet me once in a while if you expect me to stay on the porch. Hopefully, I get "petted" tonight.
Anyway, I know of one guy for sure that cheats on his wife. I used to work with him. Whenever we went out of town for business, he would immediatley start recruiting a whole string of sexual partners to fill up every second of his out of town visit. I saw every night "welcoming" a different woman to his hotel room. And then he would brag about it in the morning to the rest of us guys. We were all married and we couldn't beleive this idiot. We told him to stop bragging about it. "Dude, if that's what you want to do, that's your business. Keep it to yourself. We think it's very disrespectful to your wife what you're doing."
Long story short, I sent an anonymous email to his wife telling her what was going on. I hope she finds out what kind of jerk he is before something really bad happens, like her getting an STD or something.

Have you ever seen anything strange in the sky?
by JH injust a while ago, i was looking at the clouds in the dark sky, and i saw a rotating pattern of lights, moving clockwise going left, then moving counter clockwise and moving right.
it did that for a while, going back and forth maybe 10 times.
about 100 lights made up this rotating pattern.

Last summer we were at a party at a friend's house and we were all sitting out on the deck at night. I saw a bright light in the sky that was really far off, maybe miles, but it wasn't a star. Me and another friend watched this object move to the right and then to the left using a couple of tall pine trees as a reference. It then moved up and down. We were all speculating on what it may have been, a satellite, a helicopter, etc., etc., and I went to get some binoculars. Before I could get them, it took off at a fast rate of speed straight up like a gun shot. Then it was gone. It was very strange.
