I see people dying every day too. I guess it doesn't depress me . . . although I do grieve when someone important to me dies. I've accepted death as a reality I can't escape. I've been thinking about getting into the casket business. The burial and grocery businesses are recession proof. I've tried to work in a grocery store but I couldn't keep my hands off the oranges.

As a religion I found the Witness group indecent. As a political party I found the Witness group incredible. As a prophet I found the Witness group incapable. As a social club I found the Witness group insufficient. My one and only reward was in leaving.

Fade vs. Disassociation - What's your reason?
I walked away (faded?) by accident right after I noticed the 1975 campaign was a scam set up, and after I became sick of being disrespected by the Witness people. I disassociated on purpose after I was snubbed and shunned after 18 years in 1992 for walking away in 1974.
I fought accepting the shunning from 1992 until January of 1996 when I went public with my story. I like things the way they are now. I don't welcome any contact at all from those who have disrespected me and my family in the past. This is the way it will all end. -

I have five Jehovah's Witnesses historical periods in my life. My experiences with Jehovah's Witness people in the context of those five time periods are all different. In fact, radically different.
My five Jehovah's Witness historical periods are:- 1. Childhood; Age 7 - 12
- 2. Adolescence; 13 - 20
- 3. Early adult; 21 - 30
- 4. The lost years; 30 - 47
- 5. The confrontation and recovery; 47 - present
- The childhood years were terrible. The Witness people led by my parents were exploitive and abusive.
- Adolescence was my best Witness period. I was visibly compliant but not religious. During this time I benefited socially from being associated with the Witness group. I was welcomed in many kind Witness homes. I have many good memories of this period.
- The early adult years contained a series of disconfirmations. During this time the Witness people showed me a side I had not noticed before. They were dishonest, rude, controlling, manipulative, and mean.
- From about age 30 till 47 I was a (subconsciously believing) walkaway. Innuendoes delivered by pious Witness acquaintances and relatives didn't go over well. I was on a collision course.
- The confrontation period lasted from 1992 when the Witness people started to actively shun and snub me into 1996 when I took my experiences to the front page of the local daily newspaper and the television news magazine show.
After I went public with my story, I was threatened by Witnesses over the telephone and in a short time the Witness people confirmed every suspicion I had about their bad character. The mistake they made with me, is they left me with nothing to lose to them.

Today, at the WT study, the CO made a mistake....
by CaptainSchmideo in...and it was a doozy!.
don't you just love it when someone commenting on a paragraph loses track and actually comments on the next paragraph that hasn't been covered yet?.
today, at our meeting, the co did just that.. in case you haven't seen it yet, today's article is the infamous "i did not have sex with that woman" article in the february 15th issue.

Better look back on what you've said about someone else
by Dogpatch ina texas judge has ordered an online news site to unveil identifying details about 178 anonymous commenters on the site.
the order came after a couple, mark and rhonda lesher, sued the numerous anonymous commenters posting to topix.com for making what they considered to be "perverted, sick, vile, inhumane accusations" about them.

I'd just say my hate speech is a part of my religion. Works for one group I happen to know about.

jw's idea of 'the good news'
by carla ina poster from another board pointed out this wt quote below, credit to john653.
shouldn't jw's be counted in those who 'oppress' their fellowmen?
they certainly fit the description of oppressing their own people.

Jehovah's Witnesses' religious/political agenda is no different from the Muslim concept of Jihad, or Holy War. Jehovah's Witnesses is a political party obsessed with overthrowing competing governments.
The Watch Tower Publishing Corporation's message is certainly changing. In the 50's the target market was the general public and the Society used the Witness people to warn the public that the public was in danger. Now the Society uses the Society to warn the Witness people that the Witness people are in danger. -

The Watch Tower world present and future is a Fascist dictatorship.
