  Bailey's first Birthday

  my youngest granddaughter turned 1 today.

  her birthday was cellebrated saturday.

  she inhaled her cake... i'm so happy that my kids and grandkids can be normal... and celebrate birthdays and holidays!.

  How Do You or How Would You Religiously Educate Your Children Now?

  would you or do you give your kids religious training?

  is religious education something you would not now consider?.

  I think religious training is especially important now. I train my children (adult now) and anyone else who'll listen, to be skeptical of all claims of a super or un-human nature and to not put an ounce of weight on any miracle they did not witness for themselves first hand.
  
  The best lesson is pragmatism and the goal is objective reality. Ghosts, gods, and goblins don't have a place in a rational mind. Me thinks religious people have read too many Casper The Ghost comic books.

  i know jw's teach that the fds was appointed in the spring of 1919, but where in the scriptures do they "support" this announcment?

  i have a jw that wants to speak to me and i need to refresh my understanding.

  Ever get the surprise Saturday morning sheparding call?

  a few weeks ago a couple of brothers stopped by my house on a saturday morning.

  these were guys that i've been friends with for years and years.

  there is no animosity towards them.

  After a while I got tired of Roberts' and Marvin's game and I went down to Yankton and confronted Roberts. He admitted they'd been stalking me and told me they'd quit it and he begged for my forgiveness. What a spineless bastard.

  I had two of the idiots sit in parked cars and watch my parked car while I slept when I lived in Vermillion SD. One was Merlin Marvin and the other douche bag was Lance Roberts. Those two couldn't come up with a half ounce of brains between them.
  
  At first I was aggravated that they were watching my car, then I realized they were actually doing unpaid security for me and I'd sneak out the back door and walk to work at 1 am, knowing they'd sit and watch my car all night. I laughed all the way to work.

  a while back i read that the march km had a presentation dealing with blood.

  the wording was that jw take transfusions of fractions.. i don't see anything in the english km.

  did this info come from some other country?

  Reasoning p. 74 Blood 'You let your children die because you refuse blood transfusions. I think thats terrible'You might reply: we do allow them to have transfusions - the safer kind. We accept the kind of transfusions that don't carry the risk of such things as AIDS, hepatitis, and malaria.   my mother retired from her full-time job recently and has started attending meetings again.

  she also has plenty of time to think about her wayward children, including me.

  one night, we were talking and she asked me, again, why i wasn't going to meetings.

  "You will die at Armageddon" is a Jehovah's Witness equivalent of saying: "You're going to go to hell.". It's only something an enemy would say to me. A friend would never say that to me.
  
  "You will die at Armageddon" is offensive to me. That would be a third strike. I wouldn't welcome any further contact from a person who willfully disrespects me, my family, or people important to me. I've really only got a relatively small circle of people in my life. I don't have room or time for any rude or disrespectful people in my life at all.
  
  I've been around Jehovah's Witness people my whole life and I've got to say, on aggregate, it's not been a good experience.
  
  I set basic rules of decency as a basic part of my personal boundaries years ago and I've been rewarded with a way better life. Jehovah's Witness basic training actually focuses on disrespecting other people's personal boundaries. They actually take classes on how to be disrespectful. That just doesn't make it in my world.
