The Law of God, the 10 Commandments shows we have all sinned and fall short of God's standard of goodness. Like a dart board, I can never hit the bulls eye, and nobody can hit the bulls eye of perfection by being a good person. As a result of our sins we deserve hell forever, but God isn't willing for anyone to perish but for all to come to repentance. This is why God the Son became a person, a positive thing the eternal Son took upon Himself. He died on a cross paying our fine of sin. And whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. A free gift offered. This free gift is accepted by some and spit on by others, but what will you do with the Son of God?

Sorry for the delay in responding. This is a response to some of you.
Paralip- The greatest commandment is to love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. The Lord Jesus also said there was one like it, equally important, to love your neighbor as yourself. This is an answer to one question.
Hortensia & Eclipse- The Bible is a supernatural book and is how God chose to communicate to humanity. The books of the Bible were written by 66 authors over different centuries, cultures and places, yet all wrote in harmony. How can the Bible penned by man be God's word? Just like you sign your name with a pen, the instrument you use is a pen, well the instrument God chose to use was man. Also the vast manuscript evidence shows the Bible then is the Bible now. So the gospel of John if read in their original manuscripts would and do read the same. There is over 5000 Greek New Testament manuscripts to prove the preservation of the New Testament. This is better then any ancient writting of antiquity, like Plato, Aristotal and more. This is but a snibit of the vast amount of evidence for the Bible. But even more importantly is the fact of Jesus resurrection. There were over 500 eye witnesses to his physical resurrection. Also outside of the bible there is non-Christian writtings from such writers as Josephus a Jewish historian and Tacitus a Roman historian. Both support the claims of the New Testament to some degree as far as the areas that were touched on concerning Christians.
Next, let me stress to all that the 10 Commandments cannot make a person good. All the 10 Commandments do is show a person the state of their own hearts. The law shows we are all guilty of sinning against God and deserve judgment. That is the laws function. I am not saying I am better then anyone else either, for I have already said I deserve hell for my sins, and they are many. Many people believe they are good, but based only on their own standards of goodness. Yet this is faulty thinking, a murderer can come to a conclusion and say they are a good person because they never raped, or your average person thinking lying is ok if it never hurts anyone.

The resurrection I believe was a physical one. Jesus said, "Destroy this temple (meaning his body)..and I will raise it up" John 2:19
Next we see Jesus showing himself to his disciples whom though he was a mere spirit. But Jesus tells and shows them this isnt the case. Look and see for a spirit doesnt have flesh and bones as you see I do.
Then we see Jesus saying to doubting Thomas who would believe in the resurrection until he saw Jesus risen. Jesus said to him to touch his wounds, his side where the spear thrust through. It was at this point that Thomas became a true believer.
For Jesus to take on a different body goes against John 2:19. "Destroy THIS temple(body)" not some other temple. And if Jesus just materialized a body which was not "THIS TEMPLE" the one whom he told the Pharasees he would raise up then Jesus lied to them. There is no scriptures to backup held within context, to support anything else but the physical bodily resurrection.

Where in the Bioble does it teach that Jesus rose from the dead as a spirit being? THe verse where Jesus is hanging on the cross is only proof that Jesus committed His Spirit to His Father. This is not the resurrection.
Also for Jesus to materialize flesh and bones and say he rose from the dead in a body when it wasn't the case wouldn't he be lying?
Next when Jesus said, "Destroy this temple..." What does temple stand for? Read context please. Its his physical body. And what does he then raise up? In His own power? His physical tangeble body.
Lets talk about John 2:19.

If you were to Debate lets say the Resurrection, was it bodily or Spiritual, or a Debate on the deity of the eternal Christ versus Christ as first creation of God. If you know the topic well and cover all scriptures that cover and all the scriptures they twist and/or isolate in a box from the rest of the context you will do well. You must even know the Hebrew and Greek language in the passages and know the full meaning of the writer because you must show the twisting and errors.

i need some advice please
by WANTMOMBACK inmy mom is a devout jw but i am not and she is constantly making me feel guilty.
the subject of church has really never come up with my husband but now our daughter spent the night with one of her friends and they took her to awanas and now she talks about it all the time and really wants to go.
i just tell her no because i don't want to listen to my mom but i didn't realize my husband told our daughter she could go!!!

The Watchtower is a religious cult and I do feel for you. However the program Awana at awana.org is a good Christian program, non-Jehovah witness. Many Christian Churches all over who are denominations and non-denominations have this program. The only thing you can begin to do is pray for her but also learn the truth to help her get out of this cult. I have delt with many JW's and other cults. They can break a family apart. You don't let this happen to yours.

My scriptural proof are as follows,
John 2:19 "Jesus answered them, 'Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.' The Jews then said, 'It has taken 46 years to build this temple and you will raise it up again in three days?' But he was speaking of the temple of his body."
Luke 24:39 "Touch me and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." (read whole context it speaks volumes of Jesus bodily resurrection)
Also 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 Paul tells us the gospel, Jesus death, burial and resurrection. This makes up the gospel.
The entire book of Acts we see the early Church proclaim they are Jesus' witnesses and they proclaim his death burial and bodily resurrection
