Hey! I asked that question when i was a little kid when my mom was getting us into the org. the sister that i was studying with told me that after Armageddon was over that we did not need the bible b/c we would not be preaching any more...we all live in an utopian society...all the faithful men of old we be on paradise earth etc,etc. i was never told that new scrolls/books would open up for us...may be this was a teaching b4 i was born LOL.

i just remembered when i was a kid and we would go to the assembly, it was fun because we got to buy new clothes and put extra effort into looking good.
when we would get there you could save your seats and even save some for your friends, then go off looking for them.. i used to love our circuit assembly because of the food.
it was at the assembly hall and there was a big kitchen, some of my favourite brothers worked in that kitchen, sometimes i was allowed to go in and help.
Awww man i never been to JW Assembly Awards where they served food unless u were doing the cleaning b4 the day of the assembly (i never had the privilage in sharing that). the only where i had fun was running around the assembly hall and look 4 some ppl who i might recognize from my circuit. but during those 2 days assemblies all the kids would go to the pool at the hotel and play 'baptism' LOL

two groups - there were those that were from well-off, center-of-the-congregation JW families who housed them and gave them financial support while they went to college and "regular auxillaried" (do they even have that anymore?), and then there were the ones who may have been raised in a household where there was an unbelieving father or there was a divorce or some other circumstance that made them somewhat fringe JW kids already, and then when they go to college, that's when the real slide out of Jehoober's organization begins in earnest and they know it.

Actually, i am in a liberal congo...their are a few dubs who have their degrees but are not working with it now but are able to get by and have some decent savings.i think it has to do with my culture b/c all the dubs in my cong came from a 3rd world country and we all know what's its like being poor if u understand what i mean. and it just hurts me to see that u have american kids born here and the WT is denying them out of an edu. and in my culture the parents are relying on the kids to be able to take care of them when they are old.. they have a morbid fear of nursing homes LOL
Oh gosh i forgot to mention the look on my moms face when i told her i was not gonna go she was like 'who's gonna drive me, its too dark'- I was not definetly laughing when she said that b/c i did not want some thing terrible to happen... but now its kind of funny LOL

And it felt good i was able to get some school work done but i still have a long ways to go...i just hate being couped up in the house that's all... anyways i was thinking Why do Jehovah's Witnesses perceive X-JWs as like the "lowest sum of the earth" are we that evil because some of us decide to leave and choose a life that we want wheather it be with some goals and asperations or seeking another route of worship/non-worship, while still being alive on this earth today the reason why i'm asking this is because i'm occasionally missing meetings in order to get good grades in the classes that i am taking now. i don't think tmissing 1 or 2 meetings is too much to ask right? but i feel that i'm starting to hear all the "MURMERING" from the dubs and all the madness surrounding it. Do u ever feel that it is an insult to ur own character in some respect? i don't think all x-jw go off and drive their cars off a cliff lol.

so tomorrow i hear there is some sort of big game on the tv.....rumors....can't trust 'em... .
how many of you skipped (or attended a different) sunday meeting to catch the game?.
especially if you had/have late afternoon/evening meeting (or any meeting depending on where in the world you are that would interfere with watching the game), ithink my old congo has an afternoon meeting now on sunday...dunno for certain, i don't go anymore.. i would be interested in hearing reports for those faders still stuck going to the meeting tomorrow morning if there was an inflated attendance with those who have later meetings playing hooky from their meeting (ie, more than one congo in building, or nearby congos with later meetings) and attending yours... .
i knew brothers who would rush to get the meeting done early to they can drive home like mad men just to watch the game. when ever i made a comment they would cut me off! just they can get it done.ha! i'm still gonna go but i just gotta keep my trap shut lol.
BTW its been 1 years since u been on the board Snakes congrats
