  What if God IS a farce?

  that would really rock my world as i know it.

  after i initially left the jws' i did question the whole "is there a god"" especially when you look around and see all the atrocities - the sick sick things happening in your own back yard.then i put it out of my mind and carried on believing in a god.. right now i choose to believe in a god, whether that god be jesus, jehovah, buddha, allah, shiva, it doesn't matter - i'm happy with the idea that there is a spiritual & powerful someone running things.however lately i've been questioning again - so many posters on here that are atheists really make good arguments & i can't reason my way out of it.. why does god keep so quiet?

  why not just let us know - tadaaaa i'm here.

  SPEEDING UP THEIR OWN DEMISE?

  we all know the majority of the society's elders are absolutely useless when it comes to dealing with family matters and as i was sat here reading a number of posts it suddenly occurred to me that watchtower may have started to speed up its own demise.. before i exited my old congregation a young elder was appointed.

  he was married without children (they don't want any).

  after i exited i heard of another young elder who was appointed (they, too, have no children and i don't think they want any either).. the service overseer was a young elder (a right big head and son of the p.o.).

  I know a sister who emphatically became an AAA (available after A) in the sixties. She is one of the most messed up sad creatures now.

  b------ just tex me and said she is dropping out of nursing school because the end of this system is so close and her life is more important.

  they are making new arrangments in kingdom hall now.

  Is Your Adulthood Authentic?

  i've been training with some uniquely gifted folks at my place of employment.

  life has done some seemingly impressive things with them.

  one who's spent numerous years in the marine corps is an excellent asset to the company as are others who've likewise spent time in the military.

  The concept of keeping track of time is hard for me. Not the hours but in time reference. It seems that without holidays to have as a reference I have few mileposts that I can refer to. Like being a spectator to other peoples lives. Not ever planning for the future (as it will all end) hasn't been the best training either.

  Not angry. Just sad. Obsessed/Posessed what's the dif? I think getting them out of your system is worse than getting cancer eradicated from your lymph glands.

  everything about my life that i post on this board, is, i am ashamed to say, true.

  bringing a lesbian punk rocker to the meeting, getting high at the convention and posting pictures of two men kissing, making out with a chick in the kh parking lot with the security cameras rolling.... all true.

  with the rash of frauds on this board, i just had to chime in to tell people that my volatile, drama filled life is true, because not a lot seems like it's true on this board anymore.

  My Life as a 'Famous' Jehovah's Witness

  just let me start out by saying i am unable to give certain details of my life as i have learned very quickly this can cause a lot of problems.

  i was born into the 'truth' as my mother had been studying with a few sisters on and off at a local congregation.

  my father was never a jw and came in and out of my life for many years..to this day i do not give him much time.
