i enjoy fluff.
i like easy proof, that the jw's are a cult, or wrong.
i love it when brooklyn gets caught with their pants down.
HL...
Sitting here with my morning coffee, your thread being the first one I checked.
A great reminder...
Both videos are great, thank you! The "horse" one reminds me of this forum. When one is having difficulties pulling his/her load, we should help pushing instead of adding to the load.
Wishing you ALL a good day (or night, depending on your location:-)

what has happened to this place??!!.
i left this board a while back to reorganize and get refocused.
the vibe of jwd was changing and the forum became "unbalanced" (for lack of a better word).
Changeling...
Take a little break...
But don't leave...

so my dear friends, how are you all doing ?
it's well known that the holidays seem to bring out more than the usual stress in people.
we see various manifestations of it even in the news.
Thank you, flipper.
And this too shall pass:-)

after finding this forum and being raised in the jw religion, i found jwd a refreshing place for honest feelings, fears, life experiences etc.. the history of the jw's was exposed, and those who lived any experience under this regime has been told by many members.. to be lied to by any forum member is insulting.
i have over my past year and 1/2 come to love many posters.
i realize many more have much longer time put in here.. i have been honest and exposed more of my self than i care to think about, but always kept in mind that others were doing the same and it was best for anyone new.. to lie on this forum to all of these members is horrible and i am questioning why i am so honest here.

over the past few days... someone who i'm no longer associated with has been out on vendetta to discredit me.
it started with a mass mail to my myspace friends, which caused nothing more than a few eyebrows to be raised.
that was the reaction of people who know me in real life.
Richie...
Who am I to judge your personal life???
May the one who has never sinned throw you the first stone...and it won't be me:-)
Wishing you the very best...

Hello journey-on...
I haven't been here for very long, so I cannot really compare.
But I find a mixed bag here...some fluff, but also some serious and doctrinal topics. If I open a thread that does not suit me...I simply move right along to the next one. No one is twisting my arm to read or agree on any given subject.
(Oops...better not post that one. Somebody will start a thread about how unkind I was to expose such a thing.)
Hey, it's your forum. Express your opinion...and let the chips fall where they may:-)
If we all had the same opinion, this place would be very boring...and pointless.

i read how certain ones will profess their "love" for another poster---a poster that they probably never met in "real life".
is it me or does this strike you as almost impossible??
?
My take: You can't love someone you don't really know.
From my experience, yes, online love is possible. It is not a physical love. But it can be an even stronger bond, especially because the "physical" barrier does not come in the way. So yes, I truly "love" some people on this forum... *summer*
every now and again i get a lil bee in my bonnet and i have to just blurt out stuff - so this one is on love....so many types of love out there today.
one can find it under any rock, in any nook...that is if you dont care what type of love you want, or the type of love you'll be giving.
if you are looking for it, aim to never settle for nothing but the best, not for left overs or scraps.
What you are talking about is "unconditional love"...pure and simple.
Not easy to attain, by all means...the ego gets in the way:-(
But attainable...

i live in washington state, and my area was one that was hit hard by flooding.
not my own home, thankfully, but many nearby.
we personally know several people who have lost their home, their car(s), their pets, their apartment, their everything.
Bebu...
Nice to read your own home did not suffer any damages. But so sad to hear about your neighbors that were touched:-(
We take so much for granted. One never knows when it may all be taken away:-(
There's nothing like a disaster to see the heroic sacrifice of "ordinary" people.
Yes...why is it that it takes a disaster to pull people together???
