  I'm in the north island so not affected.

  My freind from christchurch rang me at 7 this morning.

  Lots of buildings collapsing,roads unusable power out in alot of places.

  No deaths a few people baddly heart.

  i find the topic of the 1975 end of the world scenario facinating, especially since i never lived through it.

  do you old schoolers ever feel concerned that people will one day forget about what really went down?

  with whitewashed tripe like the 'proclaimers' book informing dubs that it was just the false expectations of over enthusiastic apostates, are you at all concerned that the legacy of bullshit that is 1975 will be a forgotten moment in history blamed on you instead where the blame really belongs?

  I remember Leo Greenlees telling us at the 1973 International Assembly that this would "probably be the last
  International Assembly this side of armageddon". Then damage control set in. We didn't tout 1975 as the end of the world. The rest is history.

  hi guys,.

  sadly some of them had been in bethel for 5 - 10 years and were still cleaning toilets.. after about 2 years of it i couldn't do it anymore.

  i always knew something wasn't quite right with this organization.

  Welcome brotherdan!!

  Ive been through a simmler situation that ended in a seperation,For the best in the end.

  My advice,Sit down and tell your wife you love her and the children more than anything else.

  Explane that you don't belive it anymore and she will never ever here you say a bad word about it she & the children are free to go to meetings field service all they want but you have made up your mind.

  Leave it at that and see if you(s) can't come to some sort of a truce.

  In time she may ask a few questions and you can go from there.

  As far as your children go (all 3 of mine are out) Lets face it how many young ones are sticking around anyway?
