The changing world - The Chinese in the west.
by fulltimestudent ini was hosing the garden at the front of our apartments earlier this morning, and this large gang (20-30 people) of elderly chinese went past, picking up rubbish in the street.
it suddenly clicked that this was 'clean-up australia' day.
what interested me was the involvement of this group of elderly chinese, and i assume that this is likely happening across sydney in all the many suburbs that have become 'chinese' in the last 35 years.

F.T.S seems you have done your homework well.
The fact that the Chinese are investing in N.Z flat out has an up and a down side.
Up side as you pointed out there is a lot of money being spent here upgrading and building new dairy plants and buying farms to supply their dairy factory's.
Down side is why are we selling something the world is screaming out for,For The short term gain, or in long term we have something the world wants our dairy products.
The other argument is by letting the Chinese buy our land we gain access to their markets but if the Chinese market is being filled by their own company's whats the gain to N.Z? Job's...they mostly use their own people keep it among themselves.
On the other hand were would the money come from to build new dairy factory's supply chains ect there is not enough money in N.Z to do this so we look offshore and who's got the money ...China.
The N.Z economy is doing well as a tradesman I'm turning work away and everyone i know is busy as.

by elderess inonly a few days ago i was walking around the house in a mindless wander thinking if i needed to seek professional help.

The J.W's have a big problem with'' ecclesiastical privilege''. it is between the clergy and the person confessing
when they form a judicial committee it may well null in-void the ecclesiastical privilege as more than the person they confessed to is told about the confession.

1st off welcome. I was in the same situation a few years back you will make freinds on the outside but it will take time try joining a club ar sporting group that's a good way of meeting freinds . I suggest you get out of the jw's and move on with your life they are holding you back from enjoying it. Karter -

Travel recommendations?
by stephanie61092 inhey guys.
i've decided that during this time of being dfed, maybe trying to get reinstated, i'm going to enjoy my time with myself.
that being said, i would like to do some traveling when the weather warms up across the us.

My boyfriend is thinking of becoming reinstated
by gypsyvine ini'm not really sure where to post this.. i've been with my boyfriend for 4 months now and i've really never been happier.
i was brought up in the church of christ with an elder father and i really believe in my religion, although i will admit to being a lousy christian at times due to sheer laziness (not wanting to get out of bed on sunday).
my boyfriend essentially lives with me.

If he gets reinstated you may well end up playing second fiddle to a f##ed up religion and by the sound of it his mother.
Best you sit him down and have a long talk with him about were your relationship will go if he goes back to the J.W's,Remember the religion will always come 1st you a poor 2nd.
It's difficult for an outsider to understand but thats the way it is.
Good luck what ever way you go.
Karter,
