to date JWism has defined my life and i hate that TRUTH
by oompa inand i am finding the adjustment to the real world far more difficult than i ever imagined...i f...it has been about five years since i totally woke up to the fraudulant nwt and then all my other doubts i had carried for years were proved true as well.
but almost all of my few friends are exjw or slack jw's and i feel so isolated...my sons friends are mostly exjw too but not their gf's and they have way more normal friends .
how have you done at replacing lifelong friends and family?

This is sad beyond belief.
I can only pray that others still in this cult can see how it destroys lives and families. -

I always knew you were one of the cool kids Mrs. Jones. Have you been to a show before?
Although I was a born-in JW, I rebelled after high school for a couple of years. It was during those two years that I discovered the RHPS, and eventually became a cast member. I was exposed to a lot of stuff that I had never experienced as a good JW. So much, in fact, that I think it frightened me and I ended up going back to meeting and getting baptized. Ugh.
And now for my complete humiliation, a jump-to-the-left-and-a-step-to-the-right back in time 30 years ago...
I played Rocky the "monster". I'm the blond guy that Frank N Furter is leaning on in the first photo, and I'm on the far left in the second. Is it possible to be any whiter?!
After severing my JW ties I reconnected with four of the cast members through Facebook. Of course, we're all middle-aged now and laugh about (and fondly remember) our Rocky Horror days.

Powerful questions to DEBUNK the flood of Noah's day
by Black Man injust like in another thread a saw, the best way to deal with my jws is not debating or arguing, but instead posing questions for them to answer or not answer.
i want to come up with specific questions relating to the 'global flood' that completely debunk it.
what say you, jw.net?.

Latest WT: Reduction in branch offices is "visible proof" that Christ is "breaking down human barriers"
by cedars inas has already been mentioned, the december 15th watchtower (study edition) is now online and available for download on this link.. i couldn't help but smile at the concluding comments of the final study article on page 28 where it had this to say:.
"the very concept of foreigner has already lost much of its meaning among jehovahs witnesses, who pay little attention to the nationality of those in their midst.
recently, for example, several of their smaller branch offices were merged to simplify the work of oversight and to improve efficiency in accomplishing the preaching of the good news of the kingdom.

Hi Cedars,
This post prompted me to locate the WTS branch in Taiwan. I've sent you an email with the location.
I found it's only about an hour from where I live, so weather permitting I'm going to drive my scooter there on Sunday...wearing my Sparlock T-shirt, of course! -

I'm shaking my head at the utter ridiculousness of this.
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/school-asks-deaf-preschooler-change-sign-language-name-191629255.htmlThree-and-a-half year old Hunter Spanjer, who is deaf, signs his name by crossing his forefinger and index finger and moving his hand up and down.
To his family, friends and those who know the Signing Exact English (S.E.E.) language that the Grand Island, Neb., boy uses, that gesture uniquely means "Hunter Spanjer."
But to Hunter's school district, it might mean something else. The district claims that it violates a rule that forbids anything in the school that looks like a weapon, reports KOLN-TV .
Watch the video. He's taken the finger-spelling for the letter "H"--as in Hunter--and modified it to make his unique name sign.
When I was studying sign language, the name sign I chose was an "S" for Stephen--which looks like a fist--which I brought to my nose (because I have a rather prominent nose). If I had been a child at this school, would the administrators have banned my name because it looks like I want to punch someone in the nose?!
Grand Island Public School: Let the three-year-old boy sign his name, and hire some administrators that have the common sense to know when to pick their battles.

The vast number of languages available is cool, at least for a language nerd like me. Guess it's time to brush up on my Frafra and La?hu_Hkaw?.

I vote Newhart also—unexpected and perfectly fitting.
Also, one of my personal favorites was the last episode of The Wonder Years. Very bittersweet.
