all too often, prison is simply a training ground for more serious crimes.

but read how some inmates have been helped to make genuine changes.. .

I remember when there was an inofficial report about a man on the death row that studied and became a JW. He was executed despite of this. I remember a prominent elder in Germany who could not read this story to the end to the CBS group because he had to cry. Today, I think the prisioner deserved it.

Did you say 15 years for 105 rapes? 15 years for 1 rape maybe but surely you're are joking.

He kidnapped a 13-year-old girl and kept her in his appartment for 34 days. During this time he raped her 105 times. She was found because she wrote on small pieces of paper and threw them out of the window. 15 years is the maximum number of years you can be sentenced.

will he get out earlier with good behaviour and showing a willingness to 'convert' 'repent' his ways?

I do not think so because he was also sentenced to preventive detention after the 15 years - but you never know.

Dresden-His family and his friends have been disgusted by him. Now Stephanie's tormentor Mario Mederake is looking for consolation in the "Jehovah's Witnesses".

The cult has visited the child molesters already four times in the Torgau (Saxony) prison.

A spokesman: "Mederake has invited us. Anyone who repents and proves this by deeds, will not be rejected by God."

One year ago Mederake was sentenced 15 years in prison, followed by preventive detention.

The cult can still imagine making him someday a member with a baptism.
