Watchtower Library changed - is 2007 the last unchanged version?

in this video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frcleoxkyu0 ) there is a very easy to follow explanation of how to prove with the watchtower library that their asertion that jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bce does not compute.. i tried to check it with a recent version of the cd, namely 2009, and the numbers are all changed so that it doesn't work now.

does anybody know if 2007 was the last unchanged version in this respect?.

and btw, what do you reckon of this blatant change again?.

Hi guys, I think I had made a mistake. When I posted the information I compared the 'official watchtower' dates for Nebuchadnezzar given in the Insight book under his name (624-582bce) instead of just concentrating in the number of years he and the other kings reigned and that threw me off.

Having gone back through the whole procedure again, I've got the numbers right this time.

Thanks for the comments and clarification.

Titus, what's then the implication of the statement that Neriglissar apparently reigned more than 4 years? It could theoretically have been 20 more and then match the society's chronology.

it show a man holding a cd and it says that you have to buy the original one because it's immoral to use copied programmes,movies,games etc.tell me one jw who is not immoral when it come's to this because i don't know anyone..

Tell me ONE jw who is not immoral when it come's to this because I don't know anyone.

that's why i started with: JWs that use Open Source and so on... Meaning, not all JWs and, for that matter, not all computer users are inmoral in that aspect. There is a big community of opensource users that don't copy copyrighted software because they have and use alternatives.

JWs who use Open Source - Like Linux, the Gimp, Firefox, DigiKam, GnuCash, OpenOffice and so forth...

Believe me, there are a couple of ones... I was one.

On the other hand, like stated above... the big majority simply do not care. Specially in third world countries.

Just like Coffeehouse girl I was counseled about sculpting my body. The text used by my mother was Rev. 19:17, 18 "The angel cried out in a great voice, saying to the birds: “Come here and gather to the Great Supper of The God so that you may eat the flesh of kings – The flesh of military commanders and strong men – the flesh of horses and their riders –the flesh of all freemen and slaves, the little and the great.”

She actually tried to paint a very 'ugly' picture where the birds were ripping off muscle fibers off of my body. Nevertheless, I did train, but not to a big extent. lol.

Now I started training again, after a hiatus of about 4 or so years. Only this time it's mainly bodyweight exercises. I copy a lot of the exercises and lots of tips from these websites: www.bodyrock.tv and www.unique-bodyweight-exercises.com/

Up to now, it has worked out all right, been losing weight, about 3 Kg / 6 pounds in the last 2 months. However the idea is not to lose weight but to get in shape. And that has been working allright. One nice side effect has been that I stopped snoring, which has made my girlfriend quite happy...

Does anybody else do mainly bodyweight exercises?

First, THANKS for this. It shows how totally and utterly out of touch the whole GB is. And how they insist in trying to redefine a very old and very well understood word, namely, generation. But it's like we're going back to school to learn new meanings of common words...

Is there a way of getting the other 2 pages (1 and 3) ?

I know they are/seem irrelevant but having the whole thing would help convince others of how illogical the whole thing is...

BTW only the 4shared link worked for me.

All Aircraft grounded in the UK, France, Holland and Denmark

because of a large plume of dust being blown to the uk by a volcanic eruption in iceland all aircraft in the uk and beyond have been grounded, no airplanes are flying at all, they will not be flying till tommorow at the earliest , and then maybe not.

apparently the dust can cause engines to stall, which has happened before.. heathrow is the busiest international airport in the world, and second busiest overall, the dislocation of passengers all over the world is massive.. .

What Actually Helped You Leave The Organization?

after seeing some threads about how some think that being direct (like danny hazzard) is the best way to get people out of "the truth" or being very subtle is most effective----i was wondering what exactly made you leave the organization??.

were you more impressed by websites that were informational?

what really got you thinking to leave the religion and its mindset?.

In my case it was several things. About 10 years ago, I read on some website (don't remember what it was) about the Mexico/Malawi fiasco. The more I read, the more alarmed I was, until cognitive dissonance kicked in and I stopped. Even though the questions and scary thoughts lasted for months, eventually I was able to let my "wait on Jehovah" knob be cranked all the way up.

However, questions about several things and never cleared doubts kept nagging at me. For three years, about that time I was disfellowshipped while being a MS and had the common experience of thinking "well, if I'm going to die in Harmaggedon anyway, do as you please while you can". That lasted about 3 years and then I couldn't bear it anymore and went back, became an MS again and then an Elder. A week after my appointment as an Elder, the NBC news of child abuse and JWs came out. On top of that, the KM came out with that article about not reading other literature, not learning greek or hebrew and just reading the WTS information.

At that point a huge light bulb went on in my head. And the question "What are they trying to hide?" kept nagging at me. So, I gave myself permission to check everything about the organization's history, it's critics, read CoC and Christian Freedom and other books and discovered what was it that they were trying to hide and it was a huge lot!!! The rest is history.
