Semi-Interesting Article about Those Who Predict the End of the World
by Good Girl or Bad Girl? inhttp://www.theherald.co.uk/features/featuresopinon/display.var.1908416.0.end_of_the_world_is_business_as_usual_for_some.php.
end of the world is business as usual for someby ron ferguson.
people forecasting the imminent end of the world used to walk through city streets wearing sandwich boards; today's doomsayers are more likely to be wearing lab coats and talking about climate change.

As far as JW virgins I don't think there are that many. Few of my friends were if any. All had the DF or Reproved route. Oh some would claim but we knew better (we just slept naked together all night honestly)

Could the Watchtower "Tear Down This Wall"?
by metatron inwe are all familiar with the fall of the "iron curtain", precipitated as it may have been by reagan's plea to "tear down this wall".. while we ponder the fate of this ugly religion, i wonder if we have missed a likely outcome.
the governing body is already separated.
from the legal and administrative functions of the organization - at least in theory.

Awesome topic.
Easily they can seperate the two. Self suffcient congregations who pay for literature etc... They may be setting this up already, for instance the assembly hall being built outside of Tucson in AZ is 100% self funded and bank loans. Noting from the WTBTS. They may need to do this to seperate their legal problems and isolate them for a congregation to handle instead of the org. It would work in their favor I think sure they would have to go back to paying taxes but taxes are better than a lawsuit. Anything they have to do in that vein is easilly described as a change because of Satan's wicked system and his attacks on God's People

Sweet There were a # of baseball players in my area growing up 2 who played for the sox Jerry HArriston and Chet Lemon. Of course 2 of Jerry's Boys are in the pro's now. Chet went to the Tigers after the Sox. I know Jerry is still active and out in Tucson managing the Sidewinders.

Would You Be Putting 2+2 together if You Were Still a Witness?
by journey-on init occurred to me that if i were still a believing jehovahs witness, i would be thinking that maybe.just maybe.the watch tower bible & tract society, inc. has gone apostate and is guiding its flock off a cliff.. first..all the corporations that were formed separating everything in the eary 2000s.
what is the real reason for doing that?.
second..their association with the united nations.. third.their changes on major doctrines.. fourth.the pedophile issue and subsequent cover-up.

NAw I would have still eaten it up I don't think the failure effects us unless we are ready. Look at 1975 some left but a lot stayed.

Oh yeah all the time when I pioneered. I had some older woman crying on the phone one day because she was so sick and when I got off the phone I had to leave. I was in a strange state of shock. I hated the "preaching" work and found it to be so amazingly rude but that one time I actually put effort in to here that person so detitute she would cry to the reading of a scripture was interesting to say the least.
