  In the Australian context information gathered by a Royal Commission is of the highest standard and very respected as well as widely published. When making my submission I was treated in a very respectful and professional manner with counselling offered at he end of the session. It is so stressful to speak publicly about former JW family members and friends but quoting US Judge Brandeis again " “Fear of serious injury alone cannot justify oppression of free speech and assembly. Men feared witches and burnt women. It is the function of speech to free men from the bondage of irrational fears.”

  I have posted before my Mantra quoting Justice Louis D. Brandeis Assoc Justice of US supreme court "Publicity is justly commended as a remedy for social and industrial diseases. Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants; electric light the most efficient policeman." The all powerful male governing bodies distorted version of religion is a disease that causes real social, emotional, physical and mental harm not only to its it poor brainwashed victims ( I was) but to society as a whole as they are just parasites that don't contribute in any meaningful way to the very communities they live in other than piously and dutifully preaching door to door ( a very hard thing to do for lots of witnesses most with minimal education, fragile mental health and low self esteem).

  thinking of leaving the jws for good is frightening.engaging a quality fade is nerve racking!there can be horrible consequences that can leave one shunned.even the most careful fade can be undone by many means and loved ones.. one must weigh the consequences of leaving with true freedom.yes, that kind.

  where you always make the decisions in your own life.. no need to be reckless and wild to destruction.

  be like almost everyone else in society that enjoys life to the full and looks out for their fellow.look around you at happy, friendly people in your community.

  I agree its incredibly cruel to manipulate mostly nice gullible people eager to please "Jehovah". (with a payoff though paradise) How many people have put aside artistic endeavors, children and potentially enriching friendships with worldly groups or people that often do real material good for the community. For what??? A cruel mirage. Life it too short to live a nasty little life continually putting people in sub groups worldly, active, inactive, weak, pioneer....how boring and brainwashed was I?

  My daughter and I have both put in submissions in person and online. When my daughter traveled to Sydney to testify in person they informed her that the person they where to interview after her was 80 years old. From what I have been told by the investigating officer I was interviewed by they are shocked and the amount of submissions and extent of abuse within Jehovahs witness. (Really Shocked!!)

  The Religion Of Rejection - And Now That Includes Me

  due to some recent developments i find myself in a new place, and at this point i've lost all of my family and fri....oh that's right, i never really had any friends in the organization anyway.

  just people that wanted something from me and a few people that i would invite to do things that occasionally said yes.

  the recent rejections of me got me thinking, so let's take a rejection inventory.. i had to reject all of the holidays when my parents started studying.. i had to reject any worldly friends that i already had.. even family became rejected, and the new religion had some place in that.. i was rejected in school and bullied all of the time, not just because we were poor and i made good grades, but for jw reasons too.

  My husband and I have left ( no sex, drugs and rock and roll) we spoke up against the two witness rule. Welcome to the real world where you can meet nice people at book clubs, community organizations that actually do good for other people! Because your a nice human being and don't have to count time! Having been invited to a satanic ritual yet! So true that not so loving organisation is very petty and hierarchical. From the little clicky witnessing groups to social gatherings that are so soulless....................Don't get bitter get better!!! Best revenge is to live well and a bit of therapy doesn't hurt either
