  I don't get it ... 80% of people in Oklahoma DON'T have a Tornado Shelter. Are they nuts ????

  i really don't understand.

  how can any homeowner in his right mind, not have a tornado shelter ???

  i understand that some people live in apartments and condos, but someone with any size yard (even a driveway) could have a shelter.. to me it's a no-brainer.

  Coming from Oklahoma let me weigh in on this subject and correct all the glaring bullshit that I've read so far.

  1st: Storm shelters are expensive. For instance s helters from this company start at $2600.

  2nd: It's very common in rural Oklahoma to have one family with a cellar (Storm Shelter) and for other relatives living nearby to go there before and during storms. With longer lead times that are now common due to better forecasting this is viable for some people, my mother being one of them.

  3rd: The odds of being hit by a tornado are still small. I've lived in Oklahoma and Texas for 42 years and have never seen a tornado on the ground.

  4th: Building an underground storm shelter is much more difficult than you can imagine. You don't just dig a hole and line it with cinder blocks and if you do you need to go ahead and bring a casket with you because you're f***ed like Chuck if heavy debris falls on it.

  No not at all. As far as cursing goes I cursed just as f***ing much when I was in as I do now.

  Might I also add that anyone that is shocked by someone's actions short of murder, rape, pedophilia, or extreme religious faith is pitiful and needs to get a life.

  When you have EF-5s it doesn't matter what kind of house you're in. You need to be underground and buttoned up.

  Look up info on the Jarrell tornado here a few years ago. There's a pic that shows a stretch of asphault road that has been completely ripped out down to a depth of almost 12 inches, just completely gone.

  Texas Taskforce 1 is headed up there. TT1 is the A-Team of disaster relief. I love my adopted state.

  i was listening to the horrible news about the tornado damage in oklahoma, and especially about the elementary school that collapsed and the kids that are feared to be trapped.

  so this 72 year-old man was interviewed.

  he said he wasn't afraid and had told his wife that the lord would protect them.

  My Mom (crapola) is around Ardmore 85 miles south of Moore. She's fine but still buttoned up with a big supercell hovering around the area.

  We're fine, except for bad hail damage from the North Texas storms from about 5 days ago.

  I have an Aunt that lives in OKC and an Aunt and Uncle in Norman. Haven't heard anything but being a dirty apostate may keep me out of the loop. We're probably going to have more of this shit tomorrow.

  The two guys that wrote it are C. Glenn Begley, formerly Global Head of Hematology and Oncology Research at Amgen, and Lee M. Ellis of the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Centere.

  "It is claimed in the editorial that when Dr. Begley asked his team at Amgen to reproduce the findings of 53 "landmark" papers in this area, only six results could be reproduced, and by implication 47 results could not be reproduced.   there are some perfumes that i absolutely just love and a little squirt of it can bring back such good memories, make you feel sexy.

  my favorite is dolce & gabbana (red), followed by d&g "the one", followed by coco chanel .

  on men, i love the smell of the original hugo boss - used to make my tummy clench in a good way .
