i'd like to hear of other people's experience regarding the jws inclination to pirating software, music, films.. this of course is relative to your country.
because i live in a relatively poor country, the rate of piracy is extremely high, individuals practically never buy software, music and films are bought now and then.
this of course is against the law here too.. so what do jws do?

The law recognizes two distinctions: how you got the original material ("broadcast" into your home or purchased makes you the owner), and who you are giving it to ("fair use" allows a degree to sharing).
Torrenting is not a legal mechanism of ownership transfer. Anonymous giving or selling is not fair use sharing.

What is appropriate?
Whatever you agree to between the two of you. That calls for conversations, exploring your feelings, taking the other's feelings into account.
None of which were most of us exposed to in the WTS, where everything is nailed down and pre-digested into little lumps of law. Where your won character and the character of others is explicitly irrelevent.
So...now that you are your own person, it takes a little work to negotiate and talk and agree - relationships are built within agreements, what is OK, what is not OK, and what you agree to disagree on.
That takes honesty to actually speak what is true for you, and compassion to listen to what someone else tells you.

i left town after the court case for a fresh start , it was 18 months before dubs knocked on my door , so i told them why i was not interested in their message , aswell as the watchtower payouts in may 2007 ,with gag orders attached , they seemed quite shocked by that but warned me to be carefull what information i read on the web !

Like a victim of sexual abuse, the victim of clerical abuse will often blame themselves.
And what is done to conscientious people like SD-7 is clerical abuse.
There is a point in life where we may take ownership for our emotions, and name ourselves creator of our own life. But until then, we are all children, and children can be horribly hurt - until then we can be victimized, only able to react to the blame and guilt levelled at us.
I hope one day SD-7 will not be dependent on another person for their own sense of truth and well-being; that they will not have to hide in their own mind.
Until then, we only can watch these vipers, these experts in manipulation.
