  i have adopted a grandma !

  on the way to school each day an old lady would be sat in her window looking out , my little girl started waving at her eventually so i followed suit this went on for about 6 months , a week before christmas i knocked on the door with a present of a big box of choclate biscuits for this old lady , she also had a gift for me and my child (we didnt even know eachothers names ) this is what christmas is all about , making an old lady feel special and she told us how much she looks forward to us passing everyday and her wave , my childs real grandma often passes when on the ministery but does not knock on our door !

  i recently bumped into a jw i know that told me that her watch had been pinched at an assembly , she then went on to tell me that a lot of worldly people go to assemblys ,so she should have been more carfull !!!!!!!

  this is someone that knows im "worldly" i was gobsmacked when i had recovered from my shock i informed her that i would not dream of stealing something despite being "worldly".

  i dont even think she realised how offensive it sounded and she is not usually a judgemental person , so it must be all that self righteous association she has been mixing with lol

  does it upset jws that avoid contact with non jw family?

  my hub is disfellowshipped, we have a 4 year old child , i make it very clear that im annoyed with local elders who never reported the min servant that abused children in the local cong to the police leaving him free to abuse my child , i am not a jw and have never been one , i would have thought that my hubs family ie his mother , brothers and sister would see my point of view regarding this matter, and not take it out on my innocent 4 year old by not coming to visit her , or inviting her to thier home since last july , when it was the court case so i asked mum inlaw to look after her grandchild as i had no choice .

  they can think im an apostate bitch if they like because i really do no care but it must upset them not seeing my husband and child , when some of you were dubs did it upset you not having contact with grandchildren/neices /nephews, i know that as a child my hubs sister cried her self to sleep at night worrying about her non jw father dying at armagedon, poor kid i think thats child abuse putting that in her head .

  what should i do to encourage a relationship with my child, they only live a 15 min walk away .

  thanks for all your replys guys ,dawg it really hit home when you put it like that , you would think the y might undrstand why im bitter under the cicumstances and i have not even told you another reason that put me off the dubs , i will save that one for another time , you are all right i know about grandma ,i must try and think its her loss , and hope that one day she will see for herself the harm that religion does to familys x

  well my daughter is 19 now and not too good , a mother of another victim told me that she is glad i reported the abuser to the police as nobody in the cong would have done so because of the trouble it would cause , that included her (she is a jw) i know that she wants to come and talk to me but i believe she has been stopped from discussing it with me by th elders , that might have something to do with the elders having known about her daughters abuse and they didnt tell her or the police ! what a bloody joke that religion is and they have a damn cheek to look down on the worldlys

  or would elders tell her to say he was"working away" or to avoid answering so as not to "stumble" new ones ?

  she is supporting him as far as i know .

  dogis good , you are so right there , and the really weird thing is even her pervy husband would agree with you , as i remenber having conversations with him regarding him having no respct for doormat females that keep on forgiving and they deserve all that men do to them for being so gullible !!!!! he was such a nice guy aswll as womanhater!! i really hopeehe has a nice butch female prison warder in charge of him that bosses him around and speaks to him like shit , what goes around comes around as they say !!! not that im bitter

  mickey 4321 , he was given a reproof for a sex assault on a child in the cong then went on to abuse again, but the reason he was disfellowshipped was an affair with a pioneer girl in more recent years,the child abuse that had not ben reported to the police came out in court after he was arrested for abusing my child , the judge called it a coverup!he had been disfellowshipped for a lot of years before he abused my child . fisherman is raping children and getting them to do oral sex on him and performing it on them the watchtowers idea of porneia ? hortensia he was not my husband but my friends husband who is supporting him because she does not believe he abused my child , and as far as the other victims go ,he abused them years ago before she married him so thats in the past !!!!!! he would never do it again thanks for all your replies guys its been helpful, it helps to know people feel the same anger as me , maybe one day i can move on
