Muslim Shopkeeper Murdered for Wishing Friends a Happy Easter on Twitter
by cofty inhorrible crime in glasgow on thursday evening when a well loved muslim shop keeper asad shah was stabbed to death by at least one other muslim man.
mohammad faisal, a family friend, said a bearded muslim wearing a long religious robe entered mr shah’s shop and spoke to him in his native language before stabbing him in the head with a kitchen knife.. mr shah had posted the twitter message ‘good friday and a very happy easter, especially to my beloved christian nation’.
residents of shawlands in glasgow say he was well respected and had been known to hand out christmas cards to neighbours despite being of a different faith.. hundreds have turned out in a vigil near the crime scene....

The murderer would be able to quote dozens of verses from the Koran to justify what he did. -

CLAM - 24th March 2016 (Video Vignette)
by Nicholaus Kopernicus invideo - "use insight when comforting others"this was a wt contrived video of a sister who was widowed a year ago, and turns to members of the boe after a meeting in the kingdom hall in a distraught emotional state accompanied by suicidal thoughts.
two members of the boe saw her in her own home later that day.she conveyed that she wanted her life back - that her heart had been ripped out.
the elder acknowledges that "you and dan had a wonderful relationship".

The video is the lowest of the low as a propaganda piece in training elders to callously focus a publishers mind, no matter what the suffering or harm, on loyalty to the organisation as the panacea.
Someone should get an expert on the subject to review it and state their opinion publicly, such as a senior mental health professional.
It's probably been released to discourage all the "wild thoughts" increasing numbers of JWs are having lately about wanting to quit their horrible religion and lifestyle, especially with the child abuse scandals and other rotten fruitage being exposed. The Society wants them to chant "I will reject wild thoughts about leaving. I am an integrity keeper."
It's truly OrwellIan.

New Light - Two Sticks in Ezekiel - July 2016 Watchtower
by Listener inezekiel 37:15-17 prophesies about two sticks being joined together to become 1. one stick represented the two tribe kingdom of judah and the other stick represented the 10 tribe of israel (ephraim).
the article explains how the coming together of these two sticks meant the reuniting of these tribes in 537 bce.the modern day fulfillment was previously taught to mean that the anointed had once again come together in unity in these last days.the july watchtower now explains that one stick, the stick of judah, represents the anointed and the other stick, the stick of ephraim, represents the other sheep.
they further explain that since 1919 god's people have gradually reunited to become one flock.they are now saying that the other sheep are represented by 10 tribes of israel.

The only stick that JWs need to wise up to is the one above their head with a carrot on the end.

Christians to a tee say God can't save starving and malnourished babies and toddlers or stop them dying in wars because that would be interfering in our free will; yet this same God answers these smug western, overweight, BMW driving Christians prayers and "blesses" them.
What a sick joke and pathetic contradiction.
I say f*ck such a contradictory and morally repugnant God.

Striking contrast.
Surprising and refreshing to see the Mormons allowing women to give podium talks at this event.
I listened to a few of the Mormon talks and the sincerity and quality of speaking absolutely eclipses the dry, script reading style of JW convention speakers.

The Modern Exodus: Perception or Reality?
by Hadriel ini'm completely new at this however just in my joining this forum and of course interacting with others i can't help but notice what appears to be a significant exodus from the organization.. for those of you that have long been in this game have you seen this before?
i'm really curious and we should refrain from the sensational, but is what we're seeing different than in years past?.
it sure seems like so so many are waking and leaving.

Last service years annual report indicated growth may be heading towards negative, but is it a blip, an aberration? The organization has experienced similar blips before and pulled through.
This service years annual report should be very telling. Come back in 9 months and we'll have a much better idea of whether what you're surmising could be right or not.

The Truth is not an ORG.....It's inside of you
by tor1500 inthe truth, the org is the truth...ummm...let's think about that...i was thinking that the bible is the truth & what it does is that it reveals the truth about you...the more you read the bible the more you may see yourself & your actions.
you may be a person who judges people, the bible will show you what's wrong with that...viola, another truth revealed about you.
you may be a prideful person, you read a story in the bible about that...again, it's another truth revealed about you.

Yes, it is indeed 'inside' you, but that's got nothing to do with the Bible. Quite the contrary.
The Bible often perverts what one's natural conscience and heart tells them is right versus wrong. Example, we naturally feel love for our relatives and want to talk to them, but the Watchtower says the Bible forbids talking to them if they leave the organisation. Example, a parent would never, ever, naturally make a decision that could result in the death of their child, yet the Watchtower preaches that the Bible says God requires that the parents must forbid a life-saving blood transfusion for their child. And there are many other examples of how the Bible actually corrupts and perverts one's natural moral sense of right and wrong.
People know what is right from wrong without a so-called 'holy' ancient book to tell them. Look at the Muslim militants totally ignoring their natural sense of moral right from wrong and beheading people and blowing themselves to kill others, all in the name of religion and their 'holy' book?
Even the Apostle Paul admitted in Romans 2 that people of the nations naturally distinguish right from wrong from the law that is written in the heart and conscience.
In order to understand this, you need to understand what the Bible really is: mostly a book of interesting Jewish historical records overlaid with fables and priestcraft.
Every single 'miracle' in the Bible is complete fiction, a mere fable. The sooner you accept this, the sooner you will be free.

Memorial Non-Attendance: The Single Most Impactful TTATT Witness to JW Friends & Family
by AMNESIANO innote: the following is submitted in full recognition of and with compassion and due respect for those who, due to personal circumstance, feel they are unable to employ this powerful strategy.. ---.
anyone who has awakened to ttatt and has conscientiously left the organization--especially a once-prominent, highly-regarded, studious true-believer from a celebrated multi-generational tribe of jws-- after decades of devout, high-profile "serve-us," who continues to put in an annual appearance at the memorial thoroughly subverts and undermines, by this one act, any hope s/he may entertain that his/her departure will stir family or former friends to question the whole watchtower bamboozle.
by this one concession s/he assigns him-/herself by every single jw to their handy and dismissive purgatory: the "spiritually-weak.".

The changing world - The Chinese in the west.
by fulltimestudent ini was hosing the garden at the front of our apartments earlier this morning, and this large gang (20-30 people) of elderly chinese went past, picking up rubbish in the street.
it suddenly clicked that this was 'clean-up australia' day.
what interested me was the involvement of this group of elderly chinese, and i assume that this is likely happening across sydney in all the many suburbs that have become 'chinese' in the last 35 years.

I think it's great. I love Chinese culture and values and philosophy (Confucianist not communist) and think the more the west absorbs the east, the better!
