I came to that conclusion myself, Fisherman, and if it so happens to also be Coftys then so much the better because it is an absolutely knockdown argument against the erroneous and sick Watchtower policy.

Blood Transfusions are Biblically Supported
by allpoweredup into jehovah's witnesses elders: blood transfusions are biblically supported: acts 15:20 says abstain from blood but 1 samuel 14:32-5 says saul's army ate unbled meat to not starve and no verses show god not forgiving them.
christ says god also forgave david's eating temple holy bread to survive and that god wants mercy not sacrifice.
(mt 12) the may 22, 1994 awake tells of 26 jehovah's witness kids who died without transfusions, and by common sense in massive bleeding as in car wrecks blood expanders won't save lives http://www.ajwrb.org.

Last nights CLAM meeting
by dbq407 inso hadn't been to a clam meeting in quite a few months, but went last night.
so we learned that gog of magog is not satan as previously believed.
they used a few scriptures that made it clear that it couldn't be satan and that it would be a coalition of nations.

Let's talk about Blood again....
by stuckinarut2 ini know we have all talked about this topic before, but for some new ones on the forum, or to refresh ourselves, i wanted to start this thread.. the society likes to go on about the sacredness of blood, and how it should not be transfused etc.. they liken it to a symbol of life itself.
something that should be respected and therefore not transfused.. but, what is more important: real life, or a symbol of life?.
an illustration came to mind.. if we give a bunch of flowers to a loved one as a symbol of our love for them, are those flowers more important than the love itself?

What Wolfman85 and Cofty said.
To repeat:
The whole point of the scriptural prohibition is that the blood represents the soul or life that has been lost. The blood is a symbol only of the life lost.
There is not a single scripture where the prohibition is given where a soul has not been lost. In all cases, the blood not to be consumed has come from a dead soul.
Is any soul or life lost in the case of a blood transfusion?? None whatsoever.
With a blood transfusion the blood has absolutely no symbolic value as there is no loss of life.
Case closed.

Who is ruling over the kingdom of the world?
by The Fall Guy inaccording to the bible, "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.
" (1 john 5:19).
according to the deluded "slave", it's jesus; w73 8/1 p. 459 par.

Great thread.
It's such an obvious and glaring contradiction. And Jesus and Satan both currently have separate thrones over the world too. See Revelation 13.2.
To try and cover over these massive absurdities in their eschatology, the Watchtower reclassified Jesus' throne as one of only 'judgement' since 1914, despite admitting that no judging and separating is presently occurring!
Crazy stuff.
No wonder they say all the intelligent ones leave.

Keep questioning and testing why you still believe the Bible could possibly be 'the word of God'. Read up on Biblical scepticism and explore why so many reject the Bible and religion as untrustworthy. I recommend www.infidels.org as a great resource.
Keep testing every assumption you've held and peeling back the layers of belief you've accumulated or had imposed on you since childhood.
You're on the right path to intellectual enlightenment and freedom.

By their own admission, Jehovah has stopped blessing them then in pretty much the entire western world since the growth is zero in those countries, and they have admitted that expenditure is exceeding income.
Jehovah is now only blessing them in poor countries with low education and low internet access. Funny coincidence that.

People are overreacting a bit to this. Just because the borg are jazzing up their music a bit and being a bit more expressive about it, it hardly means they are becoming Pentecostal. The GB have probably been advised that statistically, young people and families are turning to the more modern, contemporary style churches because they provide a satisfying emotional experience. The org has never really provided that, relying on a traditional catechism style service or treating meetings like a franchise meeting of a global religious sales company (which is ultimately all the religion is).
It's all part of a strategy to give the turd a more modern, 21st century polish to try and stop the haemorrhaging, nothing more. And to make it more palatable to the African and Latino contingents, where the only growth is now occurring.
What I find disturbing is how they are increasingly using video technologically at their large gatherings in an Orwellian way, portraying horrible doomsday and obedience themes on a big screen. Its screaming out for an expose on 60 minutes or something.
