Mass JW exodus

maybe there will be a mass exodus from jws when thinking people read feb 2017 watchtower telling them the governing body stuff up, shouldnt expect correct/ perfect information and basically make up guff as they see fit.....ya reckon?.

What does "perfect spiritual food" even mean?

No, Jesus didnt say that but obviously all food that is served by the slave should be scripturally correct and never harmful or deceitful.

You can find any number of quotes down the years where they arrogantly praise their own spiritual food as nothing but wholesome and beneficial, spiritually pure and the right stuff at the proper time like manna from heaven compared to Christendoms filthy dishes of junk food, and now here they are admitting in one little flip sentence that will be hardly noticed by anyone that after 120 years they have dished up junk or unhealthy food.

But JWs dont know shit from shovel when it comes to telling what food slopped up is perfect or barf material. If mother serves it up, it must be swallowed.

Jesus ransom or the sanctification of God's name the most important?

some time ago, during the mid-week meeting, the sanctification of god’s name was being discussed (chapter 4 in ‘god’s kingdom rules’).

in paragraph nine we read that in the early period the jw’s viewed jesus ransom sacrifice as the most important teaching of the bible.

then they said they gave overbalanced importance to jesus, and nowadays, they say the sanctification of god’s name is the most important thing in the bible.. .

The name is completely missing from the Christian Greek Scriptures. It's not found in a single extant manuscript. The NWT is the only Bible that has inserted it there, and broke cardinal rules of translation scholarship in so doing.

And Jesus never once referred to God by the divine name in the scriptures. Not once.

The New Testament gives zero prominence to the name!

Jehovah wants everyone to hear the message before the end comes

when you ask a jw why hasn't god brought an end to the old system it is because he is being patient and he wants everyone to have the opportunity for everlasting life.

they will say that every year over 200,000 become jw's (most of whom are born ins).

the problem that i have is that every year over 130,000,000 people are born which means that every year he delays in destroying the nations there will be 130,000,000 more people to murder and bury.

Why would any sane person with a shred of morality want to worship a God that slaughters most of the planets population? And not once but three times (flood, Armageddon, end of thousand year reign).

Such a deity obviously doesn't exist, but if it did, I know I am certainly not in its image and I'd rather die than worship such a genocidal monstrosity.

here we are on the cusp of the new year, and the 2017 yearbook of jws has still not been released.

jw.org continues to feature the 2016 yearbook in its list of main publications.

in previous years, the upcoming yearbook's annual report on jws was released in november for the january 1st then the feb 1st watchtower, then earlier in december when it was only featured in the yearbook, then more recently with a couple of days of december 25th.

i have been associating with the jw's for three years, and was about to be baptised soon (next month).

however, i discovered on time that it is not right to do.

If God or Jesus answer your prayers and send you their 'spirit', then that is divine intervention.

But if you ask a Christian why God never lifts a finger against all the evil and suffering in the world, the answer is God cannot intervene because it is contrary to free will.

Cant have it both ways.

Someone on JWtalk posted weeks ago that theres a 1.5% increase this year. Said to be from a reliable source in the German Bethel.

Thats somewhat disappointing if true, since in 2015 they came very close to reporting a decrease.

The Watchtower Society has so many documented failed predictions about the end of the world that we have kind of moved on from having to justify why they are wrong yet again. A quick Google search will show many dozens of quotes from the Watchtower since its inception in 1874 that shows what a failure it is in this regard.

It has no credibility whatsoever in this respect, and is not deserving of further responses to repeated presumptuous prognostications about the so-called end of the system being imminent.

Pay no attention to ignorant brainwashed men who self-proclaim themselves to be Gods channel on earth, unless you are an incredulous, gullible sucker.

My wife and I are hooked on European series screening on SBS TV

whether they be norwegian ,danish ,french or whatever , having sub-titles doesnt bother us as their usually is a mix of english dialogue as well.. some examples : tracked ,the tunnell ,the bridge ,dicte ,borgen ,just to name a few.another one i`m watching now about the middle east the name just escapes right now .. anybody else watching these shows ?.

The European stuff has always been much better if you are not bothered by missing half the visual experience because of having to read subtitles. Or you are a lightning fast reader of subtitles.

Most stuff produced by Hollywood currently is abject, youth obsessed crap.

Just curious about how faithful women are these days. Anybody know?

so being someone who is not, however still believes around 70% of what the jw's talk about as far as the bible goes, ignoring the fact of no blood transfusions, shunning, etc.

The poster seems to want to know if worldly women are as faithful as JW women. He is obviously tempted or involved in a 'worldky' woman.

Ive got news for you buddy.

Women are all the same, no matter what colour, culture, creed or religion: They are faithful and loyal to any man who genuinely loves and respects them and shows it by his words and actions.

Religions got nothing to do with it. Since time immemorial, if any man treats the woman he loves, 'worldly' or not, with genuine love, tenderness and respect, she will be faithful.

A womans love for a man and her children and family universally transcend man-made superstitious inventions and nonsense such as religion.

Women are far superior to men in this respect and in all ways of the heart and of love.
