Is this a new change with the do not call list?
by DT inthere are a few threads going about getting the witnesses to stop coming to their door.
i was curious, so i called the headquarters to ask about the best way to get on their do not call list.
they said to just ask them to put you on their do not call list.

I'm working on a way to spread the word about this. I was just wondering if this change is worldwide, or if it only affects certain countries. Some countries don't have many telephones so I expect they still make personal visits to update their records.

Just got this email
by Cindi_67 ini received an email from my sister in law.
she was relating an experience given in a talk at an assembly.
a young couple wanted to have children, but they couldn't conceive, so they decided to adopt a child.

I don't know if this is a true story, but it is pretty old. I remember hearing it when I was a kid. It sounds a bit like a JW legend to me. You have to wonder why none of his congregation offered to take care of him.

Thanks for your responses. Actually, I don't want to be on the list. My problem is that they wont come to my door. I would be happy to talk to them about their false prophecies, pedophilia scandal, UN association, etc. However, I think it would be great if more of the public knew they could get on the do not call list. Does anybody know of a good way to spread the word?

True, they changed this last year. There was a BOE letter on it.

They said to just ask them to put you on their do not call list. I asked if this will stop it indefinitely or if they will keep coming back to update their records. I was told that the elders are supposed to call on the telephone now instead of coming to your door. I was surprised, because I never heard of this. Can anyone verify this? If it's true, I think that's great. We should get the word out so a lot of people can get on their do not call list. Before it seemed kind of pointless, because they still kept coming, sometimes with determination to get you off the list.

Cease & Desist letter
by carla ini have given this out many times but darn if i didn't save it somewhere so i have to keep retyping it, so here it is.
i have sent the letter to the local kh & ny and told my jw to keep them away and still the persist.
the wt considers the letter good for only one year.

You must not visit on the pretense of 'updating records'. Check the electoral roll for up to date ownership information.
I never thought of that. They don't have to keep updating their records. Does anybody know if this kind of letter can be legally enforced?

I would love to see what a few million dollars of apostate advertising would do the the WTS. I would probably hire some good lawyers and help victims with their lawsuits against the WTS.

I doubt both theories now and just don’t know what to believe at all.
I feel for you, but also applaud you. Both theories should be doubted and viewed skeptically. You have reached a stage of growth that many people don't achieve in their entire lifetime. It can be difficult, but I suggest taking your time and examining the basics first without feeling to pressured to accept or reject the big theories all at once. I might also suggest eventually looking into quantum mechanics and its relationship to intelligent observers. It's a tough topic, but it can provide an unique perspective on these big issues and lead to questions you might not otherwise think of asking.
