I first saw his original video a couple of years ago and then Stride gum liked the idea and financed his second trip.I think this is the way the world should really be; people should just break out in dance whenever they want to.

Does anyone remember the pic about the apostates at end of 1000 yrs.....
by chrisjoel init was a picture about those who would take a final stand against the new world order like a camp outside of the true worshippers.
so satan would be let loose for a little period and then anyone who agrees with satan ...ends up looking like keith richards with earings and is deserving of death.. anyone remember the pic?.

Why ARE They Called 'Pioneers'?
by Rapunzel ini was reading another thread about the witnesses so-called "pioneer school," and there occured to me the question as to why these people are called pioneers.
i may be wrong on this [and may someone please correct me if this is indeed the case], but to my knowledge, the word pioneer does not appear in any manuscript of the bible.
in any case, because my curiosity was piqued, i looked up the etymology, the "true root" meaning of the word.

Hence, "to pioneer" came to mean to prepare or open the way, and a "pioneer" was one who took the lead, forging ahead in the face of odds or opposition, as the early settlers of the North American West did. The term suggests an individual who is intrepid, one who presses ahead until his goal is realized. What an apt description this is for those who are self-sacrificing "soldiers" of Christ Jesus full time!
Even though I was a "Pioneer", I thought the term was rather ridiculous. When I think of Pioneers, I think of those who truly have paved the way for others.Whether it was those who traveled by foot and wagon across America to settle a new land, Explorers who made boats and traveled across the world in the face of great danger...even when they thought the earth was flat, those who traveled to the depths of the ocean despite great danger. And of course, there are many other examples, but the Space Program is an absolutely outstanding example of true PIONEERING.These men and women have put their life on the line to reach the moon and beyond. It was doubted by some experts that anyone could even live in outer space, and yet, they went anyway. Some have died doing so, but the benefits to mankind have already been seen..and will continue to be.Despite criticism of "nationalism"; I'm proud that America was the first to reach the moon.Truly, "One small step for a man,one giant leap for mankind".Knocking on doors....not so much.

How the new "generation" study went down in the meeting today
by slimboyfat ini made a big effort to get to the watchtower study today.
i have not been to the meetings much for months, but i figured this was a pretty historic "study" and i wanted to see reactions and how it would go down locally.
well a few things struck me as a bit odd in the study itself, and in the audience response as well.

++ BreakingAway. ++ that.
Also, shouldn't "yourselves" be in the singular?
Amazing what this Bozo of internet manners has been able to accomplish in only seven posts.
I wonder how many more he will be allowed here?
Yes, according to the context in which it was used, it seems "yourself" would be correct...but I think he's had all the instruction he can handle for one day.To tell you the truth.....I think he's just really stoked they had his name "Spin" in stock here. That kind of excitement does crazy things to people.Clean up in aisle seven....

A Naughty JW Joke
by metatron ina man commits loose conduct with a sister in his congregation but feels guilty about it, so he confesses to an elder.. "brother, i committed a serious sin when i got involved with sister hottie.
however, i just rubbed against her and didn't put it in ".
elder: "well, brother, your loose conduct is still a serious committee matter and so, rubbing up against her is the same as putting it in.. i suggest that you pray for forgiveness on the matter ........... and perhaps, just to show your appreciation, you could use the .

Your comment is spot on.What they say and what they DO are two completely different things.Similar statements have been made by them in the past. They very well might verbally discourage such actions but when the WT goes to court they slyly say: "We're innocent ! It's right there in our book for the whole world to see ! We clearly don't discourage such things as some might accuse.Obviously the friends didn't follow our direction ! " They won't voluntarily change anything unless it serves their purpose. They're lying, cheating, cold deadbeating, two-timing, double dealing mean mistreating, scum."In rare instances, one Christian might commit a serious crime against another--such as rape, assault, murder, or major theft. In such cases, it would not be unchristian to report the matter to the authorities, even though doing so might result in a court case or criminal trial."
So they seem to be changing things. Of course, what they tell the bodies of elders and the congregations are two completely different things on many occasions, so only time will tell if this helps the situation.
