finnish co was sentenced for three years for molesting little girls in estonia and his finnish congregation years 2003 to 2005. man had been a co in estonia.

the mother was not believed at first, but laughed at.

she is a jw herself.

The guildlines from the branch are that any molestor or accused molestor is followed from congregation to congregation with letters of introduction. Those letters never disapear, and that person CANNOT be used in an appointed position. And likewise, the elders cannot stop that person from preaching, but they will not put that person in a cargroup with children. The elders in each congregation that he attends would be aware and they should keep an eagle eye on him. It would bring legal issues on the congregation if they informed all of the members of that persons standing. WE each have a responsibility to gauge a persons standing by their progress. Does that person comment? Are they active proclaimers? Are they used by the congregation? And if you have a suspicion, ask an elder that you are close to.

Absolutely pathetic. Where do you get this crap from ? Don't inform the congregation that there's a PEDOPHILE in their midst because of concern for "legal issues" ? IF they would have informed the POLICE like they're supposed to then it would become public knowledge anyway. But oh no...they want to keep it on the down low,keep it a secret, it's just sick. How can the elders possbily keep an eye on the person 24/7 ?

Elders aren't always present at meetings for FIELD SERVICE so how can they PREVENT him from being put in a car group with children ? Or go to a household where there are children ? Or "get togethers" where no one is around to "watch him" ? The fact is, they allow PREDATORS complete freedom in the congregation and MANY of them ARE allowed to retain privileges whether you know it or not.I was an ELDER for six years , so I think I know just a little about what REALLY goes on behind the scenes.You're either quite ignorant of the facts or disingenuous.Both are dangerous.

Wrong according to you. Who is going to stop Him? The creation?

So what exactly are we talking about here ? God's POWER over creation or his LOVE for it ? Because I see plenty of potential power, what I don't see is LOVE or CONCERN.

i would like to know how jw's reconcile their world view with the fact that there exists creatures that live solely on blood.

bed bugs are in the news at the moment so they serve as a good example.

bed bugs live solely on the blood of animals.. ok, please explain to me how you reconcile the belief of creation by jehovah with the existence of bed bugs?.

I thought paragraph 8 was pretty interesting.

Say what ? Apparently pedophilia is no longer considered "spiritually defiling" or "unclean".The congregation certainly is NOT protected from such predators who are freely allowed to roam among the ranks and prey upon innocent ones.What hypocritical, lying idiots they are !!!

Animals were affected by mankind's sin, because... Well, it would just look stupid if humans were imperfect and animals were perfect, right?

Which means they were innocent and yet God subjected all animals to needless suffering just to prove his point of "Universal Sovereignty".Plus, he doesn't offer them any form of "compensation" such as a resurrection or heavenly bliss.Doesn't that make you feel close to God ?

two elders really annoyed me tonight.my husband was terminated from his job last week,so this week he's been doing odd jobs until his new job starts in two weeks.now the elders don't know that he is started a new job soon,so instead of asking him how everything is going the p.o asked my mom how she feels about her son in law losing his job and if everything is ok.why is it any of his business to know,and why ask my mom in the first place she doesn't know what goes on in our home.the another elder tells my husband that he needs to hurry up and find a job because the elders are watching him.what are they going to do df him for losing his job?what happened to the support that they are supposed to give us in our time of need?this whole org is a crock it's so freakin annoying.

When my dad was out of work back in the late 1960's one elder told him to pioneer. Yes, pioneer and Satan will find you a job to slow down the preaching work! So now there is proof positive that Satan is behind the Employment Office, Monster.com, Kelly Girl, and Manpower

So in other words, the elder was actually admitting that Satan was really quite helpful and would help people find a job when apparently prayers to God would not.

a few weeks ago i was checking out a few details on line about the nov. 12, 2007 nbc broadcast concerning the wts settlement on the west coast pedophile cases, and the release of the court documents on cd by barbara anderson.

i think it was lisa meyers who interviewed barbara, and brian williams was hosting.

well, i figured silentlambs had a transcript of the show, and i went there, only to find that they indeed had the transcript, but all of barbara's portion of the interview was oddly missing, and there was no link to the video.

I'm afraid that it looks like Bill let his personal animosity toward Barbara get in the way of ethical journalism. Maybe he can give us a reasonable explanation? If not, people at least need to be aware of what Bill did.

To me, it almost seems as if there's a power struggle at HQ between the more hardcore JW's and the business oriented ones who feel that the "best thing for the company" would be to relax in some areas and bring in more investors.There's a very strong lawyer presence whose jobs would be made a lot easier if the Society didn't insist on maintaining some of the more extreme and litigious policies such as no blood.The thing is, these same policies are also their claim to fame and serve as attractant to those who don't want to be part of mainstream religion.The "mainstreaming" I'd like really like to see them do... is crumble to the ground.
