Yeh. Replace those days with something you love to do or have to do. E.g. I work all weekend and Tues nights, and have martial arts class every Thursday night. ( So now i actually look forward to Thursday nights!) The other days? Well........work is work. FF

Hi to everyone at JWD. I have been "offline" for about 3 Months. Had to leave my wife and the in-laws behind. As they are JW's and i was disfellowshipped ( Still am ),i found it impossible to live there anymore. Now living with a workmate in a nice unit with a swimming pool and spa! I have a beautiful girlfriend and a new chapter has begun. So for those who are going through hard times getting out : It IS possible, and you will come out the other side stronger! Regards FF

What positive things can you take from being raised JW?

i have a really great imagination.
you have to have one to get through five hours of meetings per week at a young age.

A few things:
- I can talk Bullsh#t to anyone if needed.
- I could be a spy, with my experience of sneaking around and covering my tracks.
- I can smile, when deep down i am really hurting.
- After being shunned, i now know how to shun back. I have a new appreciation for people "in the world".
- I learned that sometimes no matter what you do, it's just not good enough.
Getting Negative? yeh sorry. That's about it......But i am positive that what i wrote above is correct.
oh one more - I learned that they don't have the Truth, and that is a relief to me.

by Pioneer Spit...oh, i mean Spirit ina jw mother recently received a background check phone call concerning her son's interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement in another state.
she says nice enough things about her (ex-jw) son, but states that she doesn't talk to him much because he left the family religion, and then has the nerts to say that while she supports him to an extent, she disapproves of his career choice because, "as duhhhhoho's witlesses, we don't believe in law enforcement.
" what a shame to admit this.. i say, don't call 9-1-1 you stupid piece o' hell.

Jw's have many double standards - this is another one i have'nt thought of.
Don't believe in martial arts training - but believe in defending yourself if attacked. ??????? Good luck with that one.
Don't believe in carrying a weapon - yet (as mentioned) will call someone who does. ????? Trying to palm off "bloodguilt"
Don't believe in law enforcement, but when i need help i do believe in it. Don't support the police with donations or whatever, but expect them to be there when i need them. ?????
As we know the rules change when it suits them. The "Truth" is moulded to fit the situation and can be changed at will.
