a friend (someone i respected a great deal / mentor) at my job has shared some information with me.

he cheats on his wife.

wow!!.

The PO of the cong I was associated with was a great friend of mine. Married, the father of 2, very devoted outgoing wife. He made great money working for himself, which placed alot of spare time on his hands. He was very charismatic, deep knowledge of the truth. Could get up and give an hour talk without notes at the last minute, just his bible in hand. You couldn't help but just love the guy. He served on many judicial commitees when Df was necessary. Right around 2000 his wife divorced him! SHOCK!!! Come to find out, she told my ex and I this, he had been having affairs all his married life!!! Over 30 years!Not just one here and there, multiple woman at the same time( not group sex)LOL, say seeing one or 2 while seeing a 3rd. And all the while serving as an elder or MS. Do you want to hear the kicker?????Even with the divorce??...................... Hold on, I'm getting there.............................the suspense has to build................................oh, his son and my son are still best of friends.......................After all the drama of his tainted life..............................the brothers in the congregation ....................................DID NOT DISFELLOWSHIP HIM!!!!!!!!!

Here we go again! Another so called dub trying to make a buck off the the "friends". Not that I am not a capitalist mind you, I LIKE $. I remember years ago when I was destitute I tried selling Kirbys. LMAO now. Well, I asked a couple of the wealthier Friends to take a look at it, and Guess What? You got it........."Uh, Brother? The kingdom Hall is not the place to do that sort of thing. " As according to the society , we shouldn't be obligating the friends at all in a commercial or financial endeavor.

Besides, the lyrics suck. This guy still has that pie in the sky mentality and ever faithful, onward and upward yada yada yada . he should make some lyrics to the tune of the old USAF theme" Off we go into the ...................what, field circus, or pioneer service, or better yet......JUDICIAL COMMITEE MEETIING.

i was brought up a jehovah's witness and have only very recently lots most of my faith in it.

for years i was in that religion and could never quite make sense of it.

i just recived an e-mail from an active jw friend of mine, he was replying to the utube e-mail i sent him on the molestation cover ups.

he knows the jw are shite, but he's conflicted becasue all his family is still in.

it made me sad, he's young and knows its shite but doen't know what to do.

Why do they need to be a corporation?

since it is illegal for a corporation to have any social interests (a social corporation is an oxymoron), and since the entire purpose of a corporation is to make money for its shareholders, why do they need to be a coroporation to spread the "good news"?.

do the shareholders amass wealth?

are they allowed to sell their stock?.

Let's follow this. The Corp. is made up of JWs, limited to 500 memebers. And since the Org is based on the scriptual teaching of the FDS, Are all the 500 members of the Annointed? I didn't think so. How come? Did they get left out of the loop again?

fastfoward 20/20 were do you see the wts?

i'm sure it will be around but how big i don't know.. as the older ones die off or become inactive there doesn't seem to be as many stepping up to take there place as one elder said to me recently " iv'e just come from a meeting at bethal they talked a lot about how much of this generation we have lost it seems we have skipped a generation ".. after alot of growth in the 80's and early 90's things seemed to have tailed off in the western world .. in 1992 i helped build the kh i used to go to it was built to hold 250 it was about 3/4 full and growing now it has about 100 publishers they had 9 reg pioneers then now maybe 1 or 2 the enthusiasm seems to have faded at best.. i went to the talk with my wife the other week (she still active) alot asleep or staring into space when i left after the talk the was alot of people milling around and talking in the lobby.. what will happen in the future i don't know it's co's vist this week everyone will get reved up but it seems to faid just as quick.. your thoughts??

Neverendingjourney, you are awesome. I am totally amazed at the number of former and active jws here that have so much truly educated insight. The wts is reallly losing out on all of this with the hocus pocus gobbledygoop they've been giving us for so long. The comment that they've lost a generation means only one thing, they didn't lose a generation raised in the world, or that they harvested out of unbelievers. They lost a generation out of their own offspring. Until I faded away, the vast majority of baptismal candidates were our own children. And sorry to say I was guilty of contributing to that. Time will tell.

Hey! dawg. Since coming to life here, I have done an awful lot of soul searching, meditation and contemplating my navel over this. I have alot of friends, past and present, 50 years worth, in the org. Some family members very dear as well. How do I approach them on these matters without them casting the evil eye on me? I am not Df or Da, just faded away, on purpose of course.
