STOP QUOTING JW GROWTH FIGURES UNTIL THE REPORT IS OUT!!
by steve2 inyes, there has been a lot of buzz and speculation from posters about the increase of jws in various countries, as well as salivating over the zero and negative growth rates in other countries.
but still no one's produced the official figures for the 2007 year (which runs from september 2006 - august 2007).
so, until we're able to see a scanned copy of the 2007 service year report of jehovah's witnesses worldwide, spare us the frustration of the pointless speculation!

Went to a high school class dinner
by Undecided inlast night i went to a dinner of school class mates.
it was interesting to see many of the old people i knew at school 57 years ago.
i didn't recognize many of them and when i did i couldn't remember their names.

Interesting subject wizard. If I may, I would like to carry this thread parralel to the subject. What ever became of the people that were so lovingly resurected? Are they still living amongst us? Are they enjoying perpetual youth somewhere? Why, they must be, for why would a loving creator bring a person back from the dead only to have them suffer the anguish and pain of death once again? That would amount to double jeopardy, would it not? If jesus was resurected, not to taste the sting of death ever again, then why not them?

The wts has always made a BIG DEAL out of NUMBERS! let's remember something here my friends, these are THEIR numbers. And who are they? The gb. As everyone knows, when you are running a large CASH corporation there ALWAYS 2 sets of books. I am not speaking of $ money books, I am speaking about the ACTUAL number of anything that they print in the annual report. Baptisms, bible studies, r/v, avg this and actual that. THEY KEEP THE BOOKS!!!! Are these the real figures??

My thoughts? Considering all of the afforementioned cut backs, financial losses due to litigating sexual molesters, the embarrasment of said, turmoil in the ranks, and the lack of NEW blood in the org, I think they are going to cut and run. Maybe not immediately, this all takes time. Launder the money, off-shore accounts, selling off of properties, cutting back on bethel staffers. The priveldged few insiders will get the golden parachute,and the final Witchtower will be entitled ,"It's Time To Flee To the Mountains." Detailed scriptural admonition relating to when Jersalem was surrounded by the Roman armies. Gird yoursleves for the siege, store up provisions now. Watch for the sign in the heavens, seclude yourselves from those who know you as JW. Please feel free to carry this thread......

Good for YOU Ken P! i ahve attended all of my class reunions in the past. I am, in fact, on the committee myself. It has always been alot of fun and yes some folks don't fare as good as the rest. We have always taken pictures of differant groups of us. Contrary to what the gb may say, there is nothing wrong in renewing old friendships. Our 40th is coming up this summer and we are scheduled to have our first meeting for it in January. I too, do not look my 57years young. my wife and I stay young and healthy by golfing, bowling and long walks together. keep up the posts young man.

You ROCK sister! Even though I have pretty much faded away, the locals don't even know of my existance, I sometimes wonder if i too might receve a visit such as yours. I have an older son that only comes around when I invite him. He know doubt knows that my never been a jw wife celebrates the holidays. That would be my answer to the Gestappo. However, you really have emboldened and empowered me for the enevitable confrontation. Thank you ever so dearly friend.
