my son wants to say hi to everyone on the forum.
as one of the main drivers to us exiting the cult he is very excited about never going to a meeting again.. if i knew how to load pictures i would let you see his plan for christmas lights next year.
apparently we are having a sleigh with reigndeers.
i am just curious about people in non christian countries who have occasion to cuss.we in english speaking countries with a christian background frequently use expressions such as "jesus christ" "christ almighty" "christ" "geez" etc.etc.
what do people in non christian lands say when making such exclamations ?
for eg muslim countries, asian countries,mainland china etc.
the name of cheeses rice gets blasphemed plenty around here
last week, i told you i was going to tell my daughter that i was leaving the truth this weekend and you all gave me sound advice.
but, i cannot keep a secret this heavy from the person i love most on this earth, my only daughter, who is beautiful inside and out.. well, i have always had an open and honest relationship with my daughter, and i guess it paid off.
this weekend i visited my daughter (who lives in another state) and i told her i was leaving "the truth.
all i can do is echo the rest...

i was thinking about this the other day when doing a bit of tidying up of my wardrobe.
all the kh suits are now pushed to the back of the wardrobe and i am seriously thinking about a visit to the charity shop to get rid of most of them.. for me one of the (few) enjoyable aspects of being a jw was getting dressed up.
my secular work very rarely involves putting on a dress suit & tie so i miss getting dressed up - smart suit , tie , shiny shoes , slapping on the aftershave.

i may never wear a skirt again
i do have 2 very fancy dresses should the need arise...

did you wish the society would make more accomodations for dealing with children?.
the hub wasnt any sort of "privileged man"
oblivious was more to the point... so while i
wasnt actually "alone" with the kids, for all
practical purposes, i was alone with the kids....
at one point we had 4 kids, aged 8 YO to infant,
2 in diapers and one breastfeeding..... THAT was
the convention from hell from my standpoint...
what the hell was i thinking subjecting those kids
and myself to that lunacy.....
