i had not been aware of this!!!
i will be making up for tardiness
by thinking the very best thoughts
and seeing ali shrouded in healing

you too, you could use
some healing too, for
your mama'sheart.....
my last update on my daughter was so good...but it didn't turn out that way.
she was cleared to go back to work, but with limitations... she couldn't lift more than 10 pounds.
her employer wanted her back but wouldn't agree to the lifting restriction.

game winning homerun turns tragic - but then something amazing happenedwww.godvine.comafter this girl hit her first ever home run, she tore her acl running to first base.
just when tragedy was inevitable, something odd, yet amazing, happened.
watch this very touching video to see the inspirational outcome.
tragedy..... not so much
unfortunate.... in several shades!
the decisions made and actions taken
define the character of sportmanship...
THOSE are the kind of people you want
to have in your life... where winning isnt
everything.....
chickpea (formerly of the intramural softball class)
not only did i not go, i played scrabble and
SERIOUSLY for the first time played the word
ANOINT! it felt miraculous!! especially when
i got to add the -ED for another scoooore!!
then we watched the burn notice special
about the background of one of the characters,
sipping on moscato and OJ and eating real popcorn
got to enjoy the moonlit
skyscape walking the dogs
near the wooded lot in the
crisp cold air of a northern
spring night....
the whole evening was swell
it wasn't all that bad.
met a few friends who also don't give too much about it and had some great laughs afterwards.
we talked about how we still remember when only about 7000 took from the emblems and now its more than 11000. we also laughed about how it would look like having jesus and his disciples pass around wine and bread on a plate like that.. all in all it was the same procedure as every year.
well.... it wasnt exactly attending the memorial
but i DID for the first time ever, in a regular
game of scrabble with never-were-JWs,
spell out ANOINT..... and laughed insanely
to the blank stares of my mates....
i also got to add -ED to it and score triple points!!!
oh!! and we passed a pint of some
dubble deep rich chocolate ice cream
that was splendid and sinfully good!
then walked my dogs in the crisp
cool northern wisconsin night
admiring the skyscape ...
effing yeah, the best memorial EVAR!
my ex-wife was a hoarder.. it happened gradually over the 18 years we were married.. things which change slowly are invisible to us.. each step is rationalized or passed off as quirky or annoying or.....whatever.. one day you look up and your 3 car garage is full of crap and the cars sit outside in the drive way.. the attic is full.
the closets are full.
then, the living room, the bed room.
i hear ya terry!
my mother turned into a hoarder
after she retired... and i had the
delightful task of clearing out
her 2 bedroom apt when she
ended up in a nursing home
(cancer + dementia)....
much of her "collection"was
that crap from franklin mint
but there was enough decent
household type stuff i could
donate to the domestic crisis
shelter that probably helped
set up at least THREE households!
i too am an ebay proponent.... i have the remnant crap of a
family of six languishing in what can laughably called "storage"
but it is actually clotting up my life energy! once i finish this
AAS (MAY 8th!) then i am going to implement a 3 year plan to
sell, trade, donate, pawn, give away stuff to help organize my
life and finance some of the renovations that are sorely
required to get this place in shape ... to either sell or run
as a vacation rental .....
i remember my husband saying YEARS ago "we need a bigger place"
(FIVE ACRES and SEVEN OUTBUILDINGS werent enough!!!!!!)
my reply then as now >>> we need less STUFF!!!
ya know, i decided a while back
that i was not playing their game...
i say hello, and smile... whether
they are glaring daggers or not...
i invested a lot of myself in so
many of their lives and am not
ashamed to recall that to them...
i am gonna be stuck in this small
community for the foreseeable
future and i figure they learn to
dodge me or they get over that
ridiculous practice.... i aint playin'
that game and i wont let them
get away with it either.....
sadly deluded mindless drones.... :(
anecdotally , from my ( rapidly diminishing number of ) jw contacts , it does seem that the april 30 hour pioneer campaign is going well.
some congregations have over 1/2 the publishers on the pioneer list for april , including all the elders & ms. .
i had forgotten the special arrangement!
i was doing a stint at the local whole food co-op's
"wellness wednesday" promotion and nearly missed
the wad of witnesses who scurried in to get their 10 am
snacks..... wednesday used to be and probably still is
the busy service day for the KH i attended.... so i thought
nothing much of it (except deep gratitude to now be out)
NOW it makes perfect sense..... 30 hour pioneers!
bet i spoke to more people about the therapeutic benefits
of essential oils in my 4 hours than they found at home !!
...they were adolescents and they were just touched.
his writing is eerily reminiscent of jw apologists.. .

What accounts for the relentless attacks on the Church? Let’s face it: if its teachings were pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage and pro-women clergy, the dogs would have been called off years ago.
lets face it.... the man i know who was SOLD by his father
to the local parish priest "father jamie" as an elementary
school-aged child for the purpose of sexual intercourse,
among other atrocities, has fractured into the disarray
known as dissociative identity disorder ...
i can hardly begin to imagine the relief he must feel
regarding the defense of a bad system uncovered,
NOT eliminated or self-corrected by the institution ....
a pox on all of the people who were supposed
to have helped the children who instead did
irreparable harm by committing or hiding the crimes
we have been priveliged to have the first black president in the us to serve in the white house.
with the wrestling of the 50's and 60's, king and the kennedys.
race riots, vietnam, the drug culture of the seventies, and so on and so forth, isn't it time we all took a deep breath and take into account all that has transpired between where we are and where we've been?
let's be clear that the meaning of civil rights
goes well beyond the massive movement of
the 50-60's which btw is still resonating!
civil rights struggles are part of my everyday life!
i have a transgender son and believe me, there
are plenty of issues yet to sort and push beyond
in the realm of "civil rights" including housing and
job protection... i write about 3 emails a week to
my elected legislative officials at state and national
levels and sit on the board of an LGBT advocacy
group's local chapter.... civil rghts are still in great
flux and inequality persists
i live for the day "the civil rights struggle" is put to rest
for every one and for all time!
i have sketcher's shape ups tennies (mimics walking on sand) and sketcher's tone up sandals, which are like walking on tiny balance balls.. i wear them all the time and have seen a huge difference in my legs.
.
do you wear shoes like these, too?
mine are a new balance version,
not quite as "rocker-y" and i do
have to say they make walking
the dogs and the rest of the day
seem easier to get through!
