  had second thoughts about divorcing my JW wife...

  just this week after being separated a little over two months....and funny cause i just got a pm from a newbie about what it is like to leave all...including your wife or husband....anyway, i spent the day with my wife and we talked about it...it is so sad....even though we are very different in natures...i again concluded there is enough in common to be happy and grow old and avoid the very high costs to both of a divorce....except we just cant figure out how to have totally separate friends and social lives....that is kinda big and may still be the deal breaker....soooooo frustrating and infuriating..........oompa.

  here was my reply to the newbie pm:.

  leaving was terribly hard as my wife is a wonderful and attractive person...my 22 year old son is also a good dub...and my parents are not real old yet and he is a hardcore elder.

  if there is a chance to live separately and
  not divorce, explore that option...

  a status of permanent separation is
  pretty much where my h and i are atm....
  there are assests to protect, esp in these
  volatile financial circumstances, so while we
  fully accept that we are NEVER going to live
  together again, we have a great friendship
  that even includes plans for a vacation when
  the youngest one graduates in '11
  (looking at london)

  we love each other enough to call a spade a spade....
  and smart enough not to let hurt feelings get in the way
  of practical financial decisions

  it's been a few years, i had some time to spare and it was there.

  not considering the actual message, here is what hit me, hard:.

  the font is larger than that used by any secular publication that one would consider intellectual.. the language is so basic that it would bore the educated but would be embraced by those who were "simple" or perhaps mentally challenged.it alsowould not promote thinking as their was so little substance.. i then checked an awake and it is much the same.

  Circuit Overseer said from platform ,if you have ever done something and not confessed to Elders...going to die!!

  just had lunch with a inactive jw friend of mine who is well on her way out.

  she said that when the she went to the kingdom hall the week of the circuit overseers visit, he said from the platform, that if anyone had done any wrong doing in the past, no matter how long ago, and had never come forward to tell the elders, then they would not make it into the new system, but would rather die at armegedon!!.

  i guess after that talk the elders were inindated and they began privately, and publically reproving, and removing ones!!

  Letter to all congregations in Canada 2010

  pledge forms will be issued to all brothers & sisters requesting for donations for k.h.,assembly halls,reno of k.h.etc.they did give some poor excuse as why this was necessary.my guess is that the brothers who made interest free loans to the wbts are asking for these loans back because of all the layoffs and the down turn in the economy.. bob.

  in the thread, the ex-jw is gq, the devout jw goes by the name j-rocc......their debate starts halfway in the thread titled "every hov witness i know personally, is miserable, cynical, & cheap .

  Rush Limbaugh in Hospital in Serious Condition

  just saw the newsflash on cnn (10:30 est wed 30 dec 2009).

  seems he had serious chest pains while playing golf in hawaii and was rushed to the hospital.

  not sure where the "serious condition" part came from but that's what was reported.. even those of us who disagree with most of what he says wish him no harm and a speedy recovery.. however, when you are that full of shit, it takes a toll on your body.. rub a dub.

  i dunno, mate....my husband is a paid up member
  in the rush enterprises and maybe it is just how
  he filters it, but sounds pretty accurate to me.....

  the woman was on her deathbed.

  she was painfully aware that her days were coming to a close and she was feeling so many conflicting emotions that she found herself wishing it would just hurry up and be over with.

  you see, she had been a jehovahs witness for her entire life.

  How do you feel about street people asking you for money

  about half of the freeway exits i get off at have someone there begging.

  in the past i felt they were only hitting me up for money to by drugs or booze so i rarely handed them any.

  in this economy i'm wondering if some of them aren't really in need of something to eat.
