i feel a bit guilty.
people on this forum were very friendly and helpful to me when i was in the in-between phase between brainwashing and freedom.. i also got a lot of help and advice and sympathy when i was trying to get my wife out.. but when she did leave, i forgot all about you guys, and we got on with our lives, and have never been happier.
honestly, life is soooo damn good now, i worry i might have reached the peak and things will only get worse from here.. we are amazed at how much our children enjoy birthdays and christmas - how healthy, normal and fun these things are.

back in the day i worked in a program
that provided a sheltered work environment
for adults with developmental disabilities
and part of my responsibilities was to drive
them to and from various appointments....
one younger guy was trying to be macho
and told me he never wore a seat belt,
and i told him: buckle up or walk, because
you may not care what happens to you,
but i dont want your dead body slamming
into me and breaking my neck
he never bitched about seat belts again!
i go to a women's discussion group on sl, second life, which is a virtual community where you do all sorts of things, including entertainment, discussion groups, media, and just socializing through the use of animated avatars which can be quite realistically human or whatever you want them to be, really, aliens, elves, dragons, vampires, etc.. anyway, a woman there brought to the discussion a situation where she had her real life husband wants to divorce her for a witness woman he had met..and get this...she had come to his door after the couple separated and offered him a bible study, and apparently instead, it turned into a romance and then, according to the woman, her husband and this woman are hitting the sheets.
(you're not supposed to call on the opposite sex alone, and do doubt this is one reason...too many lonely witness women who'd jump on the first piece of dude they meet!
lol).
seems like second life is supporting

considering the fact we've had so many newbies here i thought it would be good to just open it up to you folks to see how life is going for you since you exited the witnesses ?
it's hard many times to move on- however with lots of ex-witnesses on the board here who have been through similar experiences - perhaps those of us who have been out awhile can give you someideas on how to move on in your post jw life to make it a little easier .
so fire away newbies and recently exited jw 's.

would be in....today he caught the
bus for the twin cities to go to PRIDE...
he has friends there who love him
who will take care of him for me...
no guilt, no fear, no shame
that pretty much says it all.....

i'm sure topics like this have already come up but they tend to get hilarious with the absolute absurdity that goes on in the kh.
i was once counseled for not shaving after two days.
i was also counseled by a sister for eating lucky charms cereal.

counsel as a similar thing happened to me...
toddler on the lap, hem of a below the knee
dress rides up on my thigh (barely) and after
the meeting an on again off again elder tells
me to "go get your husband" and then he
proceeds to rip me a new one about how much
was he had seen from the platform.... trust me,
it barely went mid thigh IF that and i was wearing
pantyhose...
this same elduh temporarily conducted the BS
in our home and told us to get rid of the chess
game (completely overlooking Stratego) or he
would have the study moved elsewhere...
we didnt, and he was removed as an elder
sometime later and we had at least 2 more
conductors before WE concluded the "arrangement"
THEN there was the elder's counsel on a "talk"
not to use the word "fellow" as it was related
to the "fellers" in the OT.... that was the ONLY
thing he could "counsel" me on regarding my
"talk"
