Five Serious Questions for Lurking Jehovah's Witnesses
by Ebed_Abodah in[quote="ebed_abodah"]as ex-jehovahs witnesses we believe that there are numerous points taught by the faithful and discreet slave and its governing body that contradict the bible, the very book that they are supposedly drawing all their beliefs from.
if jehovah god is actually using the governing body to disseminate scriptural truths, as they like to call it, then any seeming contradictions between what they teach and what the bible teaches would be easily answered to a point that all would find satisfaction with.. with this in mind, i want to ask any active jehovahs witnesses who may view this site some questions that have stuck out in my mind.
these questions, with bible verses to support my view, are coming from me honestly and without any trickery involved.

Have your JW Relatives Explained about Generation/Overlap Change to You ?
by flipper inafter reading on the way out's thread about his mom explaining the generation overlap to him it kicked this idea into my head to make this thread .
i thought it would be helpful to see if anybody here has had jw relatives or friends try to explain this " generation overlap " theory to you as a faded or inactive witness and what happened in the conversations.
so please feel free to post your experiences.

djeggnog, you nor your false faithful and discreet slave have any authority over anyone because the foundantion that this authority is based on has been proven to be false. you are just as false as the catholic church, you are from just one of many false religions that try to claim authority over people. You are no judge, no one is under your "jurisdiction". You can go fuck yourself. Have a nice day fraud.

Something that's been on my mind for a while and I finally put into words.
by WontLeave inshould i turn "apostate"?.
when anyone is replying to a matter before he hears [it], that is foolishness on his part and a humiliation.

the poster sounded like me right before i realized that the watchtower society was not God's organization. Before I realized that the watchtower was a false religion I was aware of alot of the problems, but did not view them as reasons to leave. It was not until I discovered that the entire foundation that the governing body claims its authority from is absolutly, demonstrably false.
I also began to truly understand the weight of things like the blood issue, and how people are DYING......DYING because of a complete misapplication of scripture that will one day be changed just like the organ transplants were changed.
Children are being RAPED.....RAPED by pedofiles and it has been factually proven by court records that the watchtower not only is covering it up, but disfellowshipping the victims for going to police and warning others in the congregation about child rapists.
And then there is the fact that the watchtower has the same view of scripture that mormons, mulsims and atheists do. that it was corrupted by men and has things removed from it, such as the name Jehovah. If you are a Christian who is suposse to believe that the Bible is the inerrant word of God, that should pose a problem for you.
Then there is how the Watchtower straight up adds and subtracts to the greek text of the new testament in the NWT when it doesnt support watchtower docterine.
This poster above who wrote this essay is already an apostate since he has disagreements with the faithful slave.
My question to him is after you research all these things I have written, and find out they are true, how can anyone think God has anything to do with this organization?

Find refreshment in spiritual things - this weeks tower.
by Cook My Socks UK ini just thought that i would share an observation regarding par 3 of this weeks wt study.
the paragraph says in part " jehovah's witnesses find genuine refreshment through up building christian fellowship".. .
i am wondering if any readers / posters on this forum that still do or used to attend meetings have any thoughts on this.

i found meetings to be so long and brutal that when they were over i would feel so relieved that it was euphoric. maybe that is refreshed? LOL

ThirdWitness Wants To Destroy Captives of a Concept
by t33ap80c ini have had numerous conversations with thirdwitness.
it seems that one of his goals in life is to protect the world from me and my "captives of a concept.".
someone by the name "settingtherecordstraight" has posted many of thirdwitness comments on several webpages, including: .

I can only speak for myself and some of my friends and family, but when I saw and they saw people like thirdwitness and his dishonest debate tactics, as well as how he mocked victims of child molestation, it was one of the main nails in the coffin that confirmed that there is no way possible that God has anything to do with these people.
By doing what he is doing, thirdwitness is making the WTS look worse than it already does. He is causing more people to leave, so I think its great when the JW apologists come on this site and make their own blogs because it helps people who might be in between to wake up and realize that the JW's are liars.

Giving the Trinity Doctrine the Coup-De-Grace!
by wannabe init is the one that this world doesn't know, that must request of the father, to give the helper, the holy spirit; the spirit of the truth; then jesus tells us that the world cannot receive of the holy spirit, they neither see him or know him.

I like being shunned - how about you?
by THE GLADIATOR init was painful at first but now i see the advantages of not having needy relatives spending the weekend with me and scoffing my food and raiding my bar.
my wife is happier too.
it's like having a heavy rucksack removed.. i have 39 jw relatives and 38 of them shun me along with the army of ex-friends who remain in the tower.

im not DF'd, but i would mind if i was. all my family is out, and i have no friends that are jw's. so being DF would be great if I were in a store, so I would not have to be bothered by people coming up to me and saying "we miss you" or whatever bullshit. Although now if I see any JW, I pretend I dont see them, and since Im sporting facial hair they avoid me for the most part.

this comment dropped the jaw a little:
JW: ""Reality, whether u like it or not" Way to sound even more ridiculous. There isnt a better fiction book than today's biology books. I am astounded as how creative can humans be, not that it makes sense or even be possible, but, wow do we come up w great stories. Science contradicts the possibility or evolution but yet believe it fervently. Evolution is just another religion, a lot of faith required to connect two dots. Now, if you read the Bible, there you can see true wisdom. No human could have come up w anything similar to it."
and these are the ones that really make me angry:
JW: " I think that one important thing to remember here, is that each JW makes his or her own personal choice. No one can make this choice for you! The elders do not and cannot, force anyone to comply with their own beliefs"
wow:
JW "both you and your wife will die eventually anyway...why not die with a good standing with God???...at least then you have a hope of a resurrection...what are you proving to God now by being disobedient other than you are disobedient???"
more ironic you could not get:
JW " Your not a Jehovah's Witness, you don't believe, and you don't respect us. So what. We obey God not man. And not for nothing, where not he one's in the papers molesting kids and asking our followers to pay our legal bills or hush money."
LOL! YES YOU ARE! LOLOLOLOL
and of course you cant have one these discussions without the "im not a JW" poster:
Lying JW: "I really respect Jehovah's Witnesses, not only because they are excellent people, but also because they stay true to their convictions. In regards to refusing blood transfusions, we all choose what and who to die for. We have brave soldiers risking and giving their lives for our country. That is a way of sacrificing for someone, or for a cause. We had people in the past being burned on a stick just for having a Bible, others gave their lives (JW's for example) when Hitler ruled and wanted them to say "Heil Hitler" as a form of worship. If JW's are convinced they are not supposed to accept transfusions, that is something that has to be respected. If they want alternate treatments for them and their children, that is also their decision and nobody should be judging them. If we are allergic to penicillin or any other substance, doctors have to find alternatives, right? Well, respecting the believes and convictions of patients is even more right and important than anything else, morally speaking. Who can guarantee that having a blood transfusion can save someone's life? Not even doctors can do that. The right that you have to accept a transfusion, is the same right they have to reject them. A parent can choose to have a blood transfusion on his/her child, and that child can die of complications. Who decided for that child? Who had the right to decide what treatment was best? The parent. And if the child dies? The parent, the legal guardian, decided. Same thing with those that reject certain treatment because of whatever reason behind it (some people even refuse certain therapies). They don't let their children die, THAT'S NOT TRUE, the want the best treatment possible and fight hard to get them. I'm not a witness, and have always disliked the idea of having blood from someone else in my veins."

of course the JW's will completly ignore the fact that the non witnesses who try to avoid blood would take it if it were life or death. of course, you can argue correctly that JW's accept blood transfusions.
