I'm definitely born again. I'll have to use that on a JW 'cause leaving them was truly a rebirth.

JW Baptism = more ammo for us ex-jw's
by KW13 inthought i'd supply some more ammo to those who aren't already aware of this and wish to speak to dubs and scare them half to death lol.. jw's get baptized in everything (water, organization etc) except 'holy spirit'.
therefore their baptism does not allow them entry into the kingdom of god by the bibles own terms and jesus own words.. 1 corinthians 12:1-3 says;.
1now about spiritual gifts, brothers, i do not want you to be ignorant.

Elder Pedophiles that you personally know of . . .
by JK666 inafter the ambiguous response by the wts to the nbc broadcast, i would like to know how many of you had an "elder chester molester" in your own congregation?.
we had an elder that molested his daughter's best friend when she was 14 years old.
the elders in the congregation tried to keep the matter quiet and handled the matter privately.

My friend who is now dissed and has been dissed at least 3 other times over "fornication". Her step-father was an elder and molested her from 6th grade and up. He finally confessed about 10 years ago. He lost his elder position, nobody ever contacted the authorities, and her mother told her "well my step-father molested me, but he was a good step-father" and then her mom and step-father went off for their anniversary/2nd honeymoon. I told my "god mother" about it long before it came out and she told me I was lying. Then when it came out, she couldn't say anything. I really, really want to turn him in, but she's an adult now and it was so long ago. She won't cooperate and I don't really have any proof other than what she told me. However, I could scare the BOE to alert the congregation by telling them I'm going to the authorities if they don't let families know that he is a pedophile. It's been bothering me for years and years. But what can I do if she won't do anything? I know this is the reason why she has ran from man to man to man and keeps getting dissed for fornication. She's pretty messed up.

I wouldn't worry about them. Nor would I lie. I wouldn't call them, well 'cause I don't have to. Keep in mind that the one that really matters aleady knows what you're doing, not that it's wrong. But God is the only one you're accountable to for anything. Let the "fear" that permeates probably all the witnesses go. Enjoy life. Merry Xmas! :)

How would u respond? Reply from Elder who I let in on the pedophile cases
by What-A-Coincidence in"...i can not believe that you have fallen for that stupid trick ... you know better then that how can you let that happen to you ...this how you show your love for jehovah you are a fool big time i am sorry to say that but you was a mature man but know you have been blinded by the devil think about bwhat you are thinking and talking .... i will tell you something i am going to call every brother that you were close to not to listen to your demonic issues and i cannot believe you have become an agent for the devil, so sad.
wake -up before it is to late....".
think he actually read the issue at hand?.

Wow! All I can say is that the response is typical. He immediately got angry instead of praying and considering the information. Sad, so sad. I personally would not respond. He's afraid of you now, so he's gonna call everyone else so they can be afraid too and he won't have to really, really believe the "truth". Besides, what could you know? You're an "agent for the devil."

O S-X
by GetOverIt ini got a call from my friend last night who has a friend who is a jw, who just married her daughter's father.
her daughter is a teenager now, but i guess she needed s-x so got the most available man she could so she could stay in the "truth" anyway.
my friend's, friend (the jw) called her and started going on and on about how her husband wants o s-x but she's not supposed to do it.

My friend's, friend (the JW) called her and started going on and on about how her husband wants O s-x but she's not supposed to do it. And she remembers the talk on it. So she'sll do him but not allow him to do her. It was all I could do not to start running my mouth. I just laughed and said so she's gonna let a bunch of old men to tell her what to do in her marriage? Anyway, they had to retract that awhile ago (or so I thought). But I just had to share that. I thought it was hilarious.
Oh yeah, when she talked to the brothers about getting married. They told her that it was okay since he was one of her children's father. That blew me away!!! Wouldn't you have thought they would have taken her to scripture? But no, they gave her their word and she accepted it. Didn't she check the Bible? Nope, the word of the brother's was good enough. I mean if she had checked the Bible, she wouldn't be "unevenly yoked' and she possibly wouldn't have to worry about the O S-X issue. LOL!

-Turns out I was ALWAYS an "apostate".
by Awakened07 ina recent post by jcanon (of all people, lol) jogged my memory and brought back (repressed?
) memories from when i was just a kid.
i remembered that i was constantly thinking - thinking of all that i learned as a jw (and at school/elsewhere), but i was always able to look at it from "outside the box" even as a kid.

Same here. I can remember being young, less than 10 laying in the bed at night with all my questions. I remember asking questions as a young adult and people getting angry with me. I remember being told "I think too deep". My goodness, Jehovah gave me a brain, does he not want me to use it. I'm so tired of being afraid of reading the boards, afraid of reading books, other bibles, etc. This is the most free I've been in my life. I love it! So like you, I've always been an apostate. We only difer in the area that I believe Jehovah exists.

I dont understand the hate...
by JamesWind ini grew up as a jehovah's witness.
my mother was uneducated and so we moved every 2-4 years as she tried to find stable enough work to support a child so ive attended many kingdom halls and have known many witnesses and many elders.
i've never gone back to the witness organization and never will.

No one would be disfellowshiped for a blood transfusion. The primary ingredient required in all disfellowships is a lack of remorse or extreme severity.
HI JW I forgot to say welcome earlier. However I beg to difer on the above matter. I know (know, not know of) a lady in our congregation who was dissed 'cause she had a blood transfusion. And I also have a good friend who had committed fornication, no one told on her. She stopped and told the brothers herself, guess what? She got dissed. She was remorseful and remained baffled the whole time as to why she got dissed.
Like I said before, unless you've had the experiences, you just don't know. When I got pregnant, I was in a JC meeting and the brother asked me if I liked sex!!! What was the point in that? It was not relevant to the situation. So again, unless you had the experiences, you just don't know. A good analogy someone gave you was about a battered woman, still being hurt and angry. I mean lighten up a bit. You've not walked in one person's shoes on this board.
Why are you here? (I mean this nicely). If you don't understand it, why keep frequenting the Board? When I felt like you did from looking at other boards, I stopped going to them. When I find a post on here that I feel is just plain hateful, I don't read it any further. Are you an active JW?
