Loosie, I'd tell her anynomously then it's up to her to believe it. The moral burden is on you if you. I mean with AIDs and other diseases running rampant, isn't it fair that she'd have a chance to protect herself?

I think religion or no religion, if you don't have the majority of things in common with your spouse you'll struggle in your marriage, or it will end.

Faith healing
by Zico inlast month a friend of mine went to a christian conference in the uk, when she told me about this, she was quite excited, apparently, she had witnessed a miracle.
she saw a women's leg grow 1.5 inches!
previously, it had been shorter than the other leg due to a skiing accident, but now, both legs are the same size.

I would like to have seen this done without her shoes being on. Also, the Bible talks about those being able to perform great signs and wonders to deceive.

"Because they're the only ones who can trace their lineage right back to the first true Christians."
No, that would be the Chruch of Christ... (per my COFC friend)

Noah's ark - Can't believe I once actually thought it was true
by sam_sane_now inwhen i was a jw i didn't even question that the noah's ark story might not be true.
i didn't realise that it wasn't achievable for a handful of people to gather literally millions of animals - two of each kind - and fit them into a boat where they would all survive for many days.
i didn't think about the fact that if the highest mountain was covered with water then how could plant life like trees and flowers come to exist again, especially so soon after, with the raven grabbing an olive leaf was it?

I believe in the Bible, and I've never questionned the flood because I never believed it was a worldwide event. I always thought that the only people (and animals) that existed in the world, at that time, were all on that side of the world. I don't know where I got this impression from, but it has always been my thought. Wasn't there some history type program that stated there was evidence of a flood? This thread is very interesting, and worth researching.

Sinus problems
by Wordly Andre ini have had sinus problems my entire life, recently a friend told me about this sinu-cleanse thing, its a sinus cleansing treatment that you can get at cvs pharmacy, its pretty cool, its a little pot that you mix warm water with saline solution and put in one nostral and it drains out the other, the first time i used it i had a bad sinus head ache and thought well i will give this thing a try, so i mixed it up and did the treatment, blood clots and pink then red water started coming out of my nose, and after i noticed my headache was gone, i could breath great, and felt a lot less pressure in my head.
this thing is pretty awesome!
just thought i share with all of you.. sorry if its a bit gross.

I may have to try that. This has been the worse allergy season for me since my early childhood. I wake up with bloody nose more frequent than not, and maintain a presistent sinus pressure headache. Thanks for sharing.

Is the Watchtower really wrong according to your standards?
by hamilcarr in'we all have a priori knowledge, so we can't claim objective knowledge.
by the way, our senses only observe part of reality.
then, how do you dare asserting that you're right?

I really struggled with that as I was coming out of the tower. I couldn't understand what would be their motivation for misleading many. It just didn't and sometimes still doesn't make sense to me. I remember telling my brother, when he left the organization, "why can't you just follow it anyway, 'cause at least your living by bible principles and you can't go wrong there." And he refused. Now, my friend asked me the same thing when I left. But I couldn't do it. Once I started reading the Bible through prayer to God for discernment, I knew I couldn't go back, not for family or friends. I remember the biggest revelation of my life was when I realized that Jesus died for ME, not just 144,000, and that how in the world did the connect that talks about his spirit bears witness...I can't find the scripture now, but I realized that applied to every true believer, not just the 144,000. It was such a deep revelation for me I literally had to go to bed. So yes, I do believe they are wrong. They are not teaching God's Word the Bible and are misleading many people. I'm shaking my head now when I think back on how disillusioned I was. Coming out of this fog is not easy.

My personal opinion, having seen young male children with extremely flamboyant personalities, grow up to be gay men, leads me to believe that homosexually is probably there at birth. However, just like any form of fornication, it's not to be practiced. You cannot avoid if you have sexual tendencies towards people of the same sex, just like you have them for the opposite sex, BUT you do not have to practice homosexuality or fornication, that's where you get into the sin. There was this great topic on the radio about a pastor who couldn't decide whether he should baptize these two gay men in his congregation. My opinion was, why not baptize them? Who is he or anyone else to say if they can be baptized if they have repented and no longer practice the sin of homosexuality. In the end God is the ultimate judge regardless of what anyone else thinks.

There was a time when I was a witness that I had a wonderful relationship with Jehovah, and I think it had more to do with my prayer life and the way I lived my life in accordance with the Bible then from being a "witness." I know he protected me in certain instances. I can say this, and I hope it doesn't make me sound crazy , but one day I was with my two daughers, they were about 11 and 7 at the time and we were late for the meeting. The KH was not in the very best neighborhood, and we had to park down the street from the hall, and it was a dark street. While walking up the street, this dog comes running out barking viciously at us from across the street. I told the girls to get behind me 'cause I didnt' want them to run and have the dog chase one of them.
I put my book bag in front of me, hoping to slam him with it and I just say softly, "Oh Jehovah", and he gets about 10 feet from us and all of the sudden he's running and the next minute he's screeching to a stop pushing backwards with his paws away from us (his body was in a forward momentum, so he was literally skidding trying to go back). Then he just turns and walks away. That to me spoke volume of Jehovah's love. For me, it was divine intervention. You had to see the way the dog looked. I don't know what he saw in front of me that I didn't see, but it wasn't my book bag that made him do that. With that being said, now that I'm no longer a witness I still, when I'm on top of my spiritual game, feel deeply connected to Jehovah God.
