  Can anyone tell me why Dubs dont do Mother's Day

  i'm new so thought i'd say hi.

  been thinking about the witnesses alot lately and have a had a good search online and found this place.. was born into the ahem 'truth' and left when i was 17, baptized at twelve i think.

  i couldnt answer something covered in the baptism questions and all 3 elders who did my questions mentioned that this was their only doubt.

  hi everyone, im new.

  i've been feeling a burden on myself for the years that i have been out and i just don't know how to ease it.

  i can't talk about the organization or the people in it to anyone... if i try i immediately feel sick and want to close up and just disappear.

  Aimless, welcome! I was raised as a witness and know those feelings you've had. I have been going to therapy in this past year to help me keep my confidence and self worth up. Its hard when you're told over and over how sinful you are or how disappointed everyone is with what wrong you did. It can creep up on you even when your present life is going well. I get so angry thinking of how humiliating it is being questioned and counseled over personal things that were done. Telling three men crap that is none of their damned business so that you can be in a "better relationship with Jehovah and keep the congregation clean" and whatever else you want to throw in there. That stuff does a number on us, that is for sure. I hate the manipulative ways that some people use to make your life hell. That witness kid could care less about what you guys did. His conscience didn't bother him. He wanted to make you miserable and try to break up your new relationship. That is so twisted but I've seen it happen.

  King of the North where is he hanging out?

  have we had any new light on who the king of the north is at the present time because i need a reminder .i haven't read anything about him since the 1960s.and the last time i tried explaining it to a little old lady at the door the russian missiles were on the their way to cuba and the late night news reader, that night ,said " goodnight everyone and i hope you all have a peaceful and restfull night," which was very unusual because radio announcers did not comment after the news in those days.. thunder and lightning, frightning very very frightning, bealzeebub moma mia moma mia!.

  Wow, does this bring back memories! My mom could never get enough in about that kind of crap. As a kid, I was clueless, just memorized what I was told. Now, I have to laugh when I hear some of this stuff. I can still hear my parents words... "Listen in for the newest understanding of these propecies. You don't want to be left behind, do you? Keep up with what the organization is teaching you. Blah, blah, blah..."

  do any believe that we are infulenced by these creatures.

  the wts would give talkes about the demons saying, do not talk out loud about things that bother you.

  they will know your weakness but they are not able to read your mind.

  Ok, maybe I'm really out of touch...I just need to know how someone knows that another person is being raped if they don't actually see the perpetrator? On a side note, I strongly believe that our minds can convince us that we saw or heard things. I don't doubt something else being in this universe besides humans but I think witnesses spread fear. I don't feel afraid like I used to when I went to the hall. Now I'm at times a little curious but all in all just living with respect for seen and unseen life.

  hey, just wondering what's going on in people's lives.

  i'm doing okay and my sons are growing so fast it seems.

  little by little my nonwitness family is getting the word that i'm reaching out to them.

  what would happen if a copy of crisis of conscience and a short well-written covering letter were sent to every single jehovah's witness worldwide?

  i realise this is not practical and probably dubious morally, but that is not the point of my question.

  As silly as it sounds, I was afraid to read anything. I had a friend and a nephew, same age as I am, that encouraged me to research things. I thought that meant in the society's publications. They laughed at that notion. When I finally decided to read something it just made so much sense to me. I was convinced that I needed to make that final stand for myself. I also wanted to know what was so bad about these internet sites we were always warned about. And so here I am...

  Today is my Husband's Birthday

  he's in bed right now, in pain because he sat all day at his computer trying to pull together a business deal.

  couldn't get any sleep last night because of the pain.

  when i woke up this morning to get the kids off to school my hubby was in bed wimpering because of the pain.. my daughter made a card for her father, coming from my daughter means so much to my hubby cuz it's from his only girl who's finally treating him like a daddy (she's pushed him away since she was a baby and with hubby's sickness they've been spending more time together).

  with a a body wash!

  omg, i just tried a product from dove's new body wash line, energizing grapefruit & lemongrass, and i absolutely love it!

  then yesterday i found the deodorant and beauty soap bars with the same scent.

  Gotta try that! I need something to really get me up some mornings. I did like a peppermint bodywash my sis gave me from Bath and Body works. But I rarely get a chance to go in that store so I never got anymore.

  A Touching Heartfelt Experience at The ATM Machine!

  a touching heartfelt experience at the atm machine!.

  it was a very touching experience that i had this last weekend at the atm machine.

  it was about half an hour discussion but what follows is the highlights that i remember most vividly.. it begins with a once a upon a time pioneer partner of my wife (h4o) coming in to the atm.. jw says....how are things going?

  Loved that experience. JW's don't know anything but what they're told over and over at the meetings. Real love and brotherhood doesn't have to be inside a hall. She was trying her best to reason with you and get you back, huh? I forget who already commented on this, forgive me. But that story will be told differently to other people in the hall!
