Exactly. Atheism and Evolution are two separate things. There are Christians who believe in Evolution. I am an Atheist, but I'm not 100% sold on Evolution either...

Why do we say " I believe in evolution"?
by Anti-Christ ini hear this and read this a lot, "i don't believe in evolution" or " this person does not believe in evolution".
when we say this we a perpetuating the myth that evolution is a belief, when in reality it is a fact.
we should say " this person does not accept evolution as a fact".

by flipper ini was given permission by a jw friend of my wife and me to post this experience.
she's anonymous and posts on the board.
she is married to a witness still but is fighting on behalf of children in her congregation to not be a next victim of a pedophile who attends her congregation.

by Mickey mouse injws are very good at whipping up speculation without ever putting a word in print.
maybe they learned something from 1975.. what are some of the things you remember hearing that are not "official doctrine" but lots of jws believe it anyway?.
i've heard a lot of speculation that armageddon would either happen on nisan 14 or in october around the time they reckon the gentile times ended in 1914.. name some of the topics you've frequently heard unsanctioned speculation about.. .

In fact, the reaction of Witnesses to 9/11 was one of the things that made me question the faith.
Funny you say that, because this was the case with my wife and I. We were hoping to go to the KH for some comfort, but all we got was a mention of 'brothers affected' and that was about it. Very unfulfilling, and it did make us question our faith.

I heard speculation that the Bosh/Gore election (hanging chads) and Bush's victory was Jehovah's hand playing into his plans... Of course Bush did screw things up pretty bad, but the world keeps turing...

Did there ever come a time where the meetings became unbearable?
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini try to attend about 3 sunday meetings per month just to keep my whole family from disowning me.
every week the meetings become more difficult to attend.. the singing is awful,the prayers are all about the ''faithful and discreet slave''.the talks are boring and repetative.the watchtower study reminds of trained seals at the zoo where they do the same tricks over and over just so they can get their treat of fresh fish.
the answers are short and read off the watchtower magazine word for word.
