First, the 1+1+1=1 argument is lame. They think of it more lie a pie, yes, it might be cut into three slices, but it's still one pie. But I digress. If we are talking IQ, I think both group's members are probably on equal footing. I do, however, believe that Catholics on average are probably more knowledge about the world. They don't insulate themselves and they don't discourage higher education.

If we don't take ourselves seriously, how can we expect others to? At least that's how I try to justify the taking of myself seriously. It's not something you can always control.

I fit in with the Witnesses. I felt safe and comfortable. Now, I feel like I don't fit into my own body. I haven't figured myself out. Others seem to accept me, but I confuse myself daily.
I thought I was clear. Then I send my prophet and it's still not clear? What do you need, a miracle to believe?

i learned of the death of someone yesterday that was never a very good person.
i can't help but wonder where he is now... is he dead "aware of nothing" like the jws always said?

I don't know what happens when we die. I tend to believe that that is the end of our consciousness. I have seen no tangible evidence to believe otherwise. What we know is that the body decays, so I have to run with that.
what explains some of the strange things that happen other than spirits of the departed?
Delusion? Imagination? Mistake? Wishful thinking? Outright lies?
he was only 48 years old.
he had a massive heart attack.
he was married to his wife since they were teenagers.
OMG! He tried to add me as a friend on FB and I didn't recognize his name so I didn't. Now I feel especially awful..
