  i'm scared everyday that i will lose my husband to this cult.. i'm scared everyday that i will offend my dear friend because of my bitterness with this cult.. i'm scared everyday that my husband will choose to go back to studying and become active again.. i'm scared everyday that my life will crumble after working so hard to build the wonderful relationship that i have.. i'm scared everyday that his family will eventually say that they cannot associate with him anymore unless he goes back.. i'm scared everyday he'll choose.

  Be scared... but be a survivor.....Who knows what law governs our existence.

  All you can give is YOU. ...If those you love cant accept you for who you are thats bad.(Particularly if there eyes are blinded by a mis-taken concept of love) The trick is be scared but dont give up on the non-conditional love that makes you YOU.

  2nd AA meeting. Would value opinions

  i went to my 2nd aa meeting last night and came away with doubts as to whether this would work for me, so would value peoples opinion especially those who attend aa.. there were one or two there that were quite evangelical, which obviously works for them.

  also within the program there is alot of emphasis on god or a higher power.

  for many this higher power is the group itself, yet for some it is god.. i spoke to someone sitting by me about this who said that to make sobriety sometimes you have to fake it and go along with the god thing.. at the end of meetings there is a short prayer which i do not want to take part in.

  I have a friend who went to A.A.

  He Lost a leg through drink driving. Together we made a lot of money with a publication we produced helping people who had lost limbs intergrate themselfs back into society.

  It was highly succesful because I did the telesales and he visited the clients on his crutches. I always felt guilty that I was making easy money. But the publicatin was credible.

  Anyway to answer your question my alcoholic partner attended meetings all the time. But he needed this publication . Without it I think he could of drank again.

  I think you should stick with the meetings and find somthing positive in life with a bigger picture than you. Hope that doesnt sound condesending. But what I mean is life doesnt need to be perfect to be wonderful.
