  there was an elder that asked me to fix his computer.

  i was being nosy and found out he looked at a lot of porn.

  he was a nice guy and was at bethel for years... i never said anything about it....

  Went to a JW "funeral" on Saturday

  my brother called me late on the 13th to let me know that a friend of ours - who is no longer a jw - called him and said that his dad was being flown by helicopter to the hospital because he collapsed at home and had no pulse.

  they took my friend's dad off life support on valentine's day and he died.

  well, i was debating whether or not to go to the funeral because i have no desire to hang around a bunch of jws or set foot in a kindumb hall again.

  jehovah's necklaces17/02/2008nurses are calling for jehovah's witnesses to wear special bracelets and necklaces so they won't be given "sinful" blood transfusions by mistake.. most of britain's 125,000 witnesses carry pocketsized cards declaring their religious beliefs.

  but nurses say that in an emergency there may be no time to check a patient's pockets.. the royal college of nursing have urged the watchtower society, which represents the witnesses, to ask members to wear the bracelets or necklaces.. .

  i knew a girl when i was a kid who's parents made her wear her blood card on a chain around her neck.... they even laminated it... That poor girl. I remember all of us kids in the KH used to make fun of her : (

  OLD PHOTOGRAPHS FROM JW DAYS

  i left the organisation 5 years ago and this morning came across some old photographs from my jw days.

  most photographs were taken in the kh, such as marriages, and at assemblies and many are of people once considered close friends - but now i find it hard to look at them.

  i asked claire, my wife, if she would like to look at them and she said she couldn't bear to, so they went in the bin.

  Its funny. Just the other day i found a old scrapbook from My pioneer school days... I couldnt bear to look at them. but i did not know if i should throw them out.. simply for the fact that it was a part of my life... I have been thinking about that book the past couple days now.

  my sister was my best friend. We told each other everything... most of the time we knew what the other one was thinking. I left and she threw me away the very next day
