Baptisim in of itself means very little, its just a shower or bath depending on how it is done.
Ouch! You were going so well PS ;)
Firstly, baptism is a command fromt the Lord.
He doesn't tell us to do something that doesn't actually benefit us!

the package has all the details to attract a wedding banquet cynic or a golden arches obsessive: a baked apple pie wedding cake, dress made out of party balloons, kiddie party favors for guests, and of course, catering by mcdonalds.. alcohol is banned to make sure there wont be drunk party guests acting inappropriately at the family venue, so newly weds will have to toast their union with soft drinks instead.. the cost will be a few thousand hong kong dollars, depending on what guests order on the spot.

For Those of You who Believe in Heaven...
by dssynergy ini'm a 5th generation jw - and i have to admit a lot of it doesn't make sense to me.. question: if when a person dies, they go to heaven, what is the point?
question: if jesus is a perfect competent ruler, why would he need "assistants"?

I had that the NWT reference bible as a gift from my JW friend and the Lord told me loud and clear in a prophetic dream to give it back.
In the dream I tried to reason why I had it (as indeed I had done in the flesh) but the Lord told me clearly "it is corrupting the bread" which it indeed was.
I had some trouble with getting the correct rendering of John 1:1 in my mind for example.
In the dream, after more reasoning He also showed me the raison d'être of the WT. It was not a pretty sight and I didn't want to look.

AGuest As a result, you are assuming the words "holy spirit" were capitalized, so as to depict the Holy Spirit. They were not... and did not.
There is no capitalisation and neither punctuation in the original koine Greek text. Thus is the job of the translator to insert them as needed to make the text readable.
THOSE POEPLE THAT LEAVE CAPS LOCK ON AND DO NOT USE PUNCTUATION MAKE THE TEXT QUITE DIFFICULT TO READ IT IS PERCEIVED AS SHOUTING I THINK IT IS MUCH BETTER TO HAVE THE PUNCTUATION AND CAPITALISATION IN PLACE RATHER THAN TAKING THE ORIGINAL UNFORMATTED TEXT TOO LITERALLY HOLY SPIRIT INCLUDED
