  much trouble... or, things to do at the mtg that will raise eyebrows but won't get you into to much trouble.. i've been thinking about this since i still go.

  i'm surprised at how much a person can get away with if they are in a hall that they have no family in that particular kingdom hall.... at the memorial i put on so much dark eye make-up i was shocked my husband didn't say anything walking out the door.

  instead, i got compliments, lol, not exactly what i planned on.... one of my friends who faded went to the memorial and she had a pretty low cut shirt on.

  There are some great jewelry pieces out there that you can take many ways. For instance, it is really a cross but because of the design it could(?) be something else. I just got one and it has a lot of color. I really want to draw attention to it.

  which was your family?.

  i wanted to write this thread after reading pec's profile...wow!!!.

  he was raised in a family were the men were cursed....if you had a penis you were in trouble.. that was true in my family too, my mother was sexually abused as a child...she hated men all men...so me and my father had no hope...being males.. in my exwife families the men were the chosen ones..the women were worthless.. what sex was favored in your family?

  My parents were great. They loved you no matter what. I grew up during the feminist movement and my dad was behind it all the way. He said you could be anything just get a good education. He coached my sisters and my softball teams as well as basketball. He loved his kids, period.

  i thought this might be a good way to help many of us to see the absurdity of some of the wts/jw rules "principles" .

  women can't wear pants to meetings or service or i've heard even to go clean the hall.. what scriptures would the elders use to get a jw to conform.

  you don't need to quote whatt he scripture and i certainly have no desire to do that but if you have the quotes handy feel free to post them.. the rule principle.

  The only scripture that comes to mind for me is where it talks about being modest and well arranged clothing, do not be overly concerned with the braiding of the hair.

  I was always so bugged about the dress code for women. Ibelieve the bottom line is the WTS is a good ole boys club and the majority do not like women, do not respect women. They are bullys who want to dominate. This is in all actuality a coward.

  I do not know if I could ever wear a dress again. This is of some concern for me because my daughter is quite serious with a young man. I just know she will be engaged soon. The mother of the bride is suppose to wear a formal dress. Hmm ,will it be a problem.

  dear friends,.

  much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

  however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

  I want to relearn life. I feel that since I spent my mid 20's till now-40's that I have lost the ability to really relate to people. I also want to spend some quality time with my husband. We just booked a trip for the end of may anf that should be really nice. When I think about it we have not spent much quality time together. We were always off to a meeting, studying, out in field service,assemblys. We both left the org and it feels so good.

  I was told I sound like an Apostate

  so i'm in the process of ditching my jw friends and one of them tells me that i'm starting to sound like an apostate why??

  because i'm going to yet another congregation and she feels that i should stay in one cogo to get established.

  first of all i'm about to go into a foreign language congo wherein i speak half the language and want to be fluent in that language, but my real reason is....i don't want friends and family finding out about my fade so they won't start calling me and bugging me.

  Diabetes, MS, or other?

  other than weighing around 250 lbs.

  and eating out a lot every week, i have no health problems, i've never been to the hospital, and i hope to stay that way.. ok, so in dec. or jan. i got food poisoning for the first time 'cause i wasn't watching what i was eating and i ate the skin, or scales, whatever, of some fish.. i was ok in a couple of days, although i had a headache for one day.. in feb., i got food poisoning again.

  my mother had MS. Men do get it but it is predominately a female disease. It usually does not strike someone in their 20's ( it has). The statics show it is female and occurs 35 plus years of age.

  using your car in service

  i did not mind occasionally useing my vehicle out in service but the elder who did the morning text use to volunteer my car all the time.my pet peeves were:.

  1. people walking through mud, grass clippings(rural territory) and just hoping back into the car.

  mudd all over carpet.

  oh such memories. I remember one day I got set off. The little brats where playing with the power windows, up and down non stop and someone tracked up the carpet really bad. I pulled the car over and said, new set of rules. All will keep feet on the plastic mats, do not put them on the seat, under the seat, and do not touch Anything! I had a few angry moms but did not care

  using your car in service

  2.Eating and drinking in my vehicle and giving the kids crackers to munch on-what a mess. Heres an idea-Lets take a real break

  3. drive all over the territory to do calls, suck the gas tank dry and hop out at the end of the day with not so much as a thanks
