What Did You Do With All Your Watchtower Publications?

i needed room when i moved so i sadly threw my entire library away.

i mentioned this to an exjw.

he and his wife took all the hundreds of books, including bound volumes from the 1800s and are now using them for research and proof of watchtower lies.. what did you do with your books?.

Threw them in the dump.I could care less about doing research to prove the WTS are liars. I have given up too many years of my life. It is time for me

and the last thing I want to do is bury my head in WT books, journals. I need to move on.

i am starting the thread to provide a place for everyone tell their reasons for hating the watchtower bible and tract society of new york, inc.. first off i want to say, i do not hate jehovah's witnesses.

i hate the wtbts; because, they kill people with their lunatic blood policy and destroy families with shunning.. my mother at age 48, was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

the tumor could have been removed with surgery; but, that would have required blood so it didn't happen.

I guess Iam just shallow because I HATE MOST ALL JW's, esp Governing Body, DO, CO, and Elders. They are the worst of the bunch. I have come across very few sincere ones, most all act elevated and have no humility.

Did you feel "Stoopid" when going out in service?

man, i always felt like a complete idiot!!

dressing up in a suit riding around with a carload of other "stoopid" people speaking "stoopid" shit!

Yes, I could not stand it. I esp hated it when we worked a neighborhood that I knew people. I would def dodge their house and always hoped they where not outside so I would not be seen. I should have realized back then how stupid service was, mabe I would not have wasted so many years.

In the winter when everyone was inside staying warm, we where trudging throught snow and ice to get the lated WT rag in their hands. The poor sisters would have to wear dresses and the temp would be in the single digits, oh yea I was one of those poor saps-ha. I guess Forest Gump summed it up pretty good, "Stupid is as Stupid does".

Best Treadmills under $2000 ... Sole or Smooth ?

we want to get a treadmill and after reading up on them have decided that the wall*mart / canadian tire type cheapo ones are probably false economy so want to get something a bit better but under $2000.

i've been reading good reviews on both sole and smooth brands but don't know if this is just good internet marketing.

it would probably be something like a sole f80, f83 or f85 or a smooth 6.45m if that helps .... we had a pretty good one in the uk that was folding with power-foldup and a good speed and incline (got it on sale at argos for half-price and sold if for more than we paid when we moved!)..

My husband is a very good athlete. He runs and does the mile in 4:12. Also ,trains for 5k and 10k runs. We have a Bremshey and its price range is about 1200-1500 us dollares.

they are fairly popular (at least on the internet) conspiracy theorists.

(and everyone loves a good conspiracy theory!!).

How Long Have you Been Out of the Witnesses ? Have you Moved On ?

i have been out over 5 years now.

i feel we all start healing at different speeds depending on how much hurt we went through in exiting ; and how much we've educated ourselves about how and why we were sucked in by a mind control cult.

at first i felt anger towards the organization , but after learning about mind control within 3 years of leaving the cult i felt sorry for those who are still trapped inside the witnesses being deceived.

Out for 15 months now. It is day by day as far as moving on, it all depends if I run into one of them. What has helped me is reading most all the books you have mentioned. In addition, my family has embraced me with open arms after 20 years of being a part. Life is rich and rewarding now and trying not to look back.
