Elder's Wife Apologizes In Tears for Shunning Me Yesterday
by Seeker4 inhad a really interesting experience i thought some here might like to hear about.
my jw ex-wife and i still own a house together, (she lives in it and a non-jw adult son is living there with her temporarily), not to mention the three kids and seven grandkids we share, so we interact quite a bit, e-mailing, calling or seeing each other a few times a week or so.
i'm still doing some remodeling to our house.

I set myself on fire!!!
by Bonnie_Clyde ini was wearing a cotton bathrobe this weekend and went to the gas stove to adjust the coffee pot.
suddenly there was a burst of flame on top part of my sleeve.
tore the bathrobe off, threw it to the floor, and stomped it out, although the fire caught on another part of the bathrobe and i had to keep stomping.

Blood Issue - Could that mean bloodshed???
by cognac inif you look up the greek word for blood, it could mean actual "blood" or it could mean "bloodshed".
the scriptures in acts are not quoted anywhere so nobody could really say for certain which meaning it actually has... .
also, just before it in acts, it states to abstain "from things strangled".

Ok, so I just remembered something somebody told me that I hadn't given much thought to, until for some reason now...
In Bulgaria, do you get disassociated if you take blood? What's the official stand on that?

Hi JW ~
yeah, i'm still going to meetings... Elders aren't hounding me right now, I think they may be scared of me... It's really my family that's hounding me... WOW ~ it sucks so bad.... All I get is, "Did you listen to the WT today?" "What apostate sites have you been on?" Crap after crap after crap... Wow, I can't even take it anymore... I hate this so bad...
The worst thing about it is, i'm not a bad person... I'm just trying to go according to what the scriptures say... Wow, I guess its really, really bad to do that unless they have an answer to your questions... Sucks, if I was going to get in big trouble, I wish it was for becoming a moviestar and making a million dollars...

thanks Vinny!!! i appreciate your comments...
Honestly, until I started really researching scriptures and then testing things, it never dawned on me that we wern't open-minded!!! Wow, now that I'm dealing with all this crap, and now that i have actually reflected back on things I myself have done, I never realized how closed minded we/I was...
It's really shocking to think about it... I was the person that didn't allow another baptised (inactive) witness to come to my wedding because of his hair... Wow, to look back at these things now, I feel so awful how I treated people... What an as@ I was... hopefully not still, but really, what would I know after what I have done???

I guess the moral of what was said is, that everyone can miss the pain that they go through in life, but they would of had to miss the dance (all the awesome stuff in life) also.... So, let's dance! screw the bad stuff, it's gonna happen!!! just accept it, and appreciate all the good stuff just a lot more!!!

Hi DJK~
I was doing really awesome when I wrote this... then I spent the night with family, now I'm backed to totally pissed.... I wonder if I just want them to accept me, but just don't actually want to spend any time with them... They really piss me off and there viewpoints... (Which might be totally not that bad, because of them, hubby listens to me more....)
Will listening to country music actually make anyone feel better?
yup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cognac, what's up with you... never lose youe love for dancing...Life is that dance that we all do, and its actualluy worth the pain, just doesn't seem that way when things are bad.
dawg, all I can say, as always, is your awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they no longer DF if you are repentant. there was a change in 2000 or 99. i forget which. the elders were instructed to be more "loving" if a person accepted blood in a moment of weakness.
They are making changes little by little. In a few years, it will totally be a conscious matter. however, they know it's a conscious matter now. Anyways, the hell with that. I wouldn't be repentant anyways, they can just go to hell...

TD ~
You bring out some awesome points. this is what i say after all is said and done:
There are arguments that could go either way. The society is bloodguilty in that they make a decision that could be argued at the very least both ways. If there is any possible chance that is, and, I say, at the very least, between what gopher said and the actual meaning of the word, the society has to admit that there is at the very least 1/2 way of a possibility that they may be wrong.
I think they already realize that they may be wrong and that is why they are allowing so many fractions now. they are changing things little by little. If they were to change things all at once, everybody would leave.
Has anybody written them these things in regards to the different possibilities??? What did they say???
I can't be bloodguillty like that, why don't they say all of what it could mean and then leave it up to the individual? Why the disfellowshipping? Why the loss of so many lives???
