$4,000 TO FILL UP MY BOAT!

I think you will need to downsize to something that has a 9.9 motor LOL

We have a little jet boat and it cost $20 to fill it up on Friday. We can ride on that for a couple of weeks because we don't go far.

Just a block away from my place is a Marina on a Big lake and all the Big Cruisers and Cigarette boats came in yesterday to fill up and then go have lunch at the Restaurant here in town as it was a beautiful day. I was just asking my husband how much that must cost to fill up at $2.65 a litre. We were thinking maybe $500. They kept the things idling too and it takes 30 minutes slow speed 9km hr to get to the Marina and the Restaurant in my town because there is cottages and houses on a narrow inlet. I NEVER thought it would cost in the $1000's

Need suggestions... how do I respond to my elders?

so our fade is not going so well.

too many people have been asking about us, and therefore giving us attention.

we've had no choice but tell select few friends that we're discouraged, and one that we're having a hard time believing the fds in general.

Gary That would really get them (the elders) going. LOL I would love to see a video of them being confronted like that and getting a taste of their own medicine.

In my opinion I think Robert and his wife would find meeting with the elders to be a very emotional experience and they would not be in any state to be confrontational. They still feel guilty in someways. I myself could have never approached it that way because I am too emotional and wear my heart on my sleeve.

i've been reading this board for a while, but never posted, but now everything has changed and i have nowhere to go for suggestions- .

my witness husband (robert7) in december, the night before the assembly, told me that he isn't a witness anymore, doesn't want to be involved anymore, doesn't believe it.

of course, i'm a good witness, take the kids out in service a few days a week every week... very active in the cong.my first reaction was that "i cant love him if he doesn't love jehovah" and it really looked like we surely would get a divorce in jan/feb.

Your story is amazing. I know its a difficult time for you and it isn't easy to suddenly realize that you have been betrayed by your best friends and that you may have to change your life. I know your heart must breaking right now and you will need time to come to terms with this HUGE change.

I am looking forward to hearing more from you and your husband.

You are fortunate in one way and that is that you have a support group here of thousands of people who have been in somewhat the same situation. When I faded from the Watchtower Society there was no internet and no support groups. I thought I was the only one who left and who felt the way I did. I was in limbo for years. I just found this group in January of this year and now after more than 20 years I have discovered that I am not alone. It has helped me so much and I know it will help you to.

we suddenly have had many breakins during the day in our neighborhood.

I agree that Labs are the best as they are extremely loyal, gentle, loving but they are also very protective of their owner and family. I have one. In my opinion yellow labs are the best as they are strong and are used as Service dogs for the blind, etc.

the elders are specifically told what classification a sexual sin falls into.

touching the breasts, genitals, looking at porn, looking at various types of pornography, kissing, petting-----you name it----it is technically classified so that the elders know which charge they can hit you with judicially.. even if you're married, the watchtower disapproves of certain consensual sex acts.

White Dove what an experience and experiment I LOVE IT. LOL but I am sure you were disappointed with the "brother". I never understand how as a JW they can "fornicate" or be a pedophile etc and feel they are in good standing with Jehovah. In my opinion they haven't got it in their heart, they are just going along for the ride..

Whew I just edited my post, I don't want you to think I am mean and kinky or anything well I am not mean in the least by I might be the other word.

I really think the JW religion drove me to it. Seriously I think that I was so tired of the men being in control and women in subjection that I really liked the idea of Power exchange with the woman in control. So regarding the title of this Topic thread, I think that Witness religion can lead you to explore things that they don't think are normal. Or it can totally suppress you sexually.

Well too much information I am sure but I often have wondered if others who have left the JW religion felt that it affected them sexually and they became more adventurous in exploring things outside of the Box.

Dinah I am relieved I am not the only one into alternative "things" LOL

JW views on sex are normal but old fashioned. IMO

One of the reasons I left was because I felt so guilty about oral sex and masturbation. I stumbled myself because I was sexually adventurous.

I even ended up getting into what the world calls abnormal stuff and I think the reason I did was because I was so repressed as a JW that it made me want to explore more.

I ended up into some sexual stuff I never would have believed I would do and now I love it. Hint: loving bondage and teasing on the erotic side. Now thats a NO NO with JW's and other religions too.

Am I BAD???? Whats bad about anything you do with your lover as long as its loving and stimulating and doesn't hurt you or your partner. I found that getting into this made for longer sexual experiences and my husband was never bored. He got me into it ;-) He died but I am still into it.

I had guilt about it for a while and now I don't because I think that anything you do with your partner that is mutually satisfying is good.

I haven't read the current book but hopefully I can get the next book suggestion.

I just went to Amazon.com and read an excerpt from A Thousand Splendid Suns. I have to have that book, it sounds right up my alley.

Hi I just noticed this thread and thought some of the peoples locations didn't add up, I see its an old thread.

I am from Canada, lived here since I was 4 months old. Born in Detroit.

Brought up in BC, where my parents got the truth when I was 3. We then moved to Perth Ontario where the "need was great", then moved to Brockville, Ontario where I pioneered and got disfellowhiped there too. Got reinstated in Agincourt Ontario 11 years later, moved to Thornhill Congregation and then to Aurora Congregation in Ontario. Wish I could find some friends I had then and see if they have left the Borg.

I left the Organization in the 80's and moved to Toronto in 1993 until 3 years ago.

I now live in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada Love it here, so friendly, small town, great community. Wish there was some Apostates here!!!!
