  Witness World Response to Apostates

  below is what was posted on witness world by polly pan.

  i took euphemism's advice and others to protect my identity.

  about a week ago it was brought to administrations attention that there may be apostates lurking on our board, as a precautionary measure we deleted 107 members who had never posted since they joined.

  yes it's true...i am having flashbacks of my angsty teen years where my call to arms was always "you just don't understand me!".

  miss eyegirl and i have been spending a lot of time together.

  probably too much for the safety of the human race.

  Jo, Saddly as most people grow older, they forget what it was like to be a kid, to laugh, skip, play, twirl. Kids laugh all the time, as most grow older for some reason it become unacceptable for adults to act like kids. It's really sad, because they are missing out on so much fun in life. don't change! Seek out friends that get you. I think I would get you, your humor always makes me laugh.

  In a perfectly balanced universe, shouldn't there be a place for the ladies? How about a place called "Peckers"?

  She did, you must have missed it before she edited it out, something about the coffee pot boiling over and making a big mess. It sucked for someone who claims to be a critic IMO.

  they're saying the prophecy is possibly fulfilled of "peace and security and then sudden destruction" in the year 1986 when world leaders dubbed that year as the "year of peace".

  the feb.1st watchtower mentions that just as a pregnant woman over 9 months gradually has signs of a baby's growth in the womb, so too, we may have a fulfillment of bible prophecy without knowing it fully beforehand until the effects and results become obvious.

  my mother read excerpts of the wt.

  Par 6 - "They also came to realize that 1914 was the beginning of the end for this system of things."

  This is a fine example of how careful wording is used to give JWs a false impresion that the predictions of 1914 came true.

  The fact is, they didn't come to realize this until years after the failure of the predicted events of 1914. The year 1914 was supposed to be the very end of the end, not the beginning of the end. In the context of this paragraph the reader gets an entire different impression by the careful wording and placement of this sentence.

  The average JW would not pick up on the "came to realize" but would instead get the impression that all that was predicted before 1914 came true.

  since the breakdown of my marriage i have been living round my mum's - .

  DMOUSE,

  I was at the same place you are just 3 years ago. I know that in the short term it will be a struggle but in time you will look back and wonder why you put up with her crap for so long. You will be happier and glad that this happened, because the life you were living with her would probably never change. That is the realization I had to come to. My ex went so far to accuse me of having sex with our family dog, a male dog. Her slander still stands to this day because I left the JWs for the exact same reasons that you did but the JWs think that I really did the things she accused me of.
