The Watchtower's Dilemma
by metatron indilemma (n.) - a situation involving choice between equally unsatisfactory alternatives.. .
that's exactly where the governing body - and directors- find themselves.. they are becoming painfully aware of growing malaise and lack of growth in the organization.. in response, they could:.
scream louder about armageddon being close ( not likely to work).

They could do like the Worldwide Church of God: make a public apology for falsely misleading people in their teachings , confess their sins and try to make a new beginning.
Now, that was one of the funniest things I have read in a long time.

Can JWs vote now?
by BeelzeDub inbob greene a jw from new haven mass, voted for kerry!
both parties made the iraq war and the war on terrorism key issues in their campaigns and voters responded at the polls.
bob greene, 49, of new haven, said he is a jehovah's witness and does not usually vote but considered this election too important to miss.

I don't understand..... If JW's don't go to war even if they're drafted, what's Greene talking about? Maybe he's a JW and his sons aren't?
I was going to do some investigative reporting on this. It would appear that New Haven is in the state of CT not MA as I quoted above.
I could not find a Bob Greene, B Greene or Robert Greene in New Haven CT in the white pages even though there are many other Greenes in that area.
He could be a study or unbaptized husband of a JW who considers himself one though not baptised.
However, he does seem to be holding down a typical JW career.

Bush is going to kill more of our kids if he wins another four years," said Greene, a hot dog vendor. "I have two sons, a kid 22 and a kid 18, and Bush is not going to kill my kids."

The ultimate JW presidential flip flop.
by BeelzeDub injehovah spoke to the current president of zambia while he was one of jehovah's witnesses and told him to get back into politics.
president mwanawasa: "i vowed never to associate myself with politics and that is why i joined the jehovah's witnesses," president mwanawasa said.
"but after seven years of abstinence, god spoke to me that you have not fulfilled the work i sent you in government for.

"I vowed never to associate myself with politics and that is why I joined the Jehovah's Witnesses," President Mwanawasa said. "But after seven years of abstinence, God spoke to me that you have not fulfilled the work I sent you in government for. I have come back to finish the work I was assigned to do. I am here until I finish two terms."

One must wonder if he was disfellowshiped for his returning to politics, or did the Governing Body cut him a break since Jehovah told him to get back into governement?

Instead of all the whining, the watchtower needs to follow some bible based (tm) counsel.
Matthew 22 21 "Caesar's," they replied.
Then he said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."Romans 13 7 Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
