  Studying harder than ever

  when i was growing up in the cult of the borg i studied hard and made "spiritual progress" quickly.

  but after finding the reality of the society's promises unfulfilling i stopped studying and was rather proud of what the wt called "the permafrost of the brain".

  in the past year i have studied my religious upbringing harder than ever, but in a completely different way.

  Conscience

  i will start with a definition: this comes from wikipedia.

  - conscience is a hypothesised ability or faculty that distinguishes whether our actions are right or wrong.

  it leads to feelings of remorse when we do things that go against our moral values, and to feelings of rectitude or integrity when our actions conform to our moral values.

  the wtbts is trying to decide on a year text for 2009. here are the scriptures they are trying to choose from: ecc.

  Wow.. I have changed

  as many of you are aware i have accepted i am an alcoholic for a couple of years, whilst cutting down loads over this period of time i recently have decided to attend aa, which has been a real help.. i have just looked through some old topics i posted, dating back to 2001, (which was a real dark period in my life).

  what i have realised is how i have changed, call it growing up, whatever you like.

  i find it interesting to see my opinions on matters and what i was going through at the time.. i would recommend anyone to have a browse through their old posts and see if it is the same for yourselves.. paul.

  i found this website today called matthews generation blogspot and his article "out of the north".

  i have managed to only read about one tenth of it as it is extremely long, but it definetly held my interest.

  has anyone else read it?.
