My children's grandmother tries to keep them from getting their burned home repaired....

i knew that jehovah's witnesses were callous and cruel but this just takes it to a new level.. my children's house was burned in a fire and their idiot mother (my ex wife) did not have insurance on the house.. home depot is trying to help them and has offered to donate materials to repair the house and has asked habitat for humanity to get involved to supply the labor.. the habitat for humanity district manager came to my children's house and met the home depot district manager and my children.. after they left my children's grandmother (who lives in the house) told them that if habitat for humanity is involved in fixing the house that she will refuse to live there any more because they are involved with christendom.

so, she is putting pressure on my ex wife to leave the house burned and leave my chlidren (her grandchildren) homeless.. my middle daughter said "well, we will miss you when you leave".

my youngest daughter said, "well i guess i won't be seeing you any more because i refuse to live in a burned house when people are offering to help fix it but you and my mother are so stupid and retarded that you won't let them help".. please tell me that my ex wife won't be stupid enough to go along with this nonsense.

i have played the piano my entire life and never learned another....i so wish i could play the guitar.

i would trade my piano in a minute for a good guitar and lessons.. how about you?.

How come people with the least means of supporting themselves ''Pioneer'' ?

my cousin told me last week that for the month of february she was ''pioneering''.

here is a person who was divorced 2 years ago and had to move in with her mom because she can't afford to live on her own .she only works 4 days a week.

she pays $600 every 2 months for health insurance because she is self-employed.

Who knows! I have a nephew that pioneers and he can barely make his rent and car payments. In fact he could'nt if my 73 year old mother did'nt give him money each week and buy most of the gas! Makes me mad thinking about it. Of course trying to find a better job would completly destroy his schedule and when would he find time to pioneer?

or is there such a thing as a private one and one that is announced to the congregation and who decides what action to take and why , i think my daughters abuser had a private one years before he abused her and yet many in the congregation did seem to know he was "dodgy" elders warned their daughters about him it seems , just didnt warn other peoples daughters !

It can be done privately and sometimes is, but it seems word always "leaks" out somehow.

did you feel guilty ,when ignoring disfellowshipped ones ?

i was having an affair with a pioneer at the time and a girl who was disfellowshipped was in the loo at the hall (she actually had not done aything scriptually wrong (but the elders thought she had ) i tried to smile at her as i felt i was not in a position to judge anyone as guilt was destroying me but she just looked down at the floor , 14 years later we are good friends and both "free".

when you were "in" and ignored disfellowshipped did you ever think "im not in a position to judge anyone " ?.

Yes I did. In fact I've apologised to 2 different people in the last few months fot the way I felt I had to treat them at the time. They were both very understanding. I'll never treat anyone so bad again!

i missed the last two days of class, and did not email him before class telling him i was going to miss.

evidently this was a requirement for the class.

he emailed me today and told me i could not return to class until i meet with him and the school dean, and if i didn't do it by monday he was going to assign an f for the course.

I have no idea about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin and I don't really care, and I don't believe in the trinity. But I don't believe in much of anything anymore.

i won't be going if i can help it, but id like a heads up about it, just to be forewarned.

I'm pretty sure I won't be going this year. Just thinking about it makes me feel queasy! The only reason I'd give in and go is because of my mother. She is getting old and I don't want to cause her any more stress, but still I need to also think of me and what is good for me.
