Well, guess I should have kept my mouth shut about not being called on. 2 elders just left and I don't know why, but it upset me so bad. It's like they think a person can't be happy without the org. They offered Bible study to me and of course I said no. But I froze up. Could'nt tell them what I really thought. That made me angry, knowing they have the power to make my mind go blank when what I'd like to tell them would be to go to ****! I think it has ruined my good day!

Were you Stalked or Chased After Once you Exited the JW's by Elders ?
by flipper ini tried to fade off the map by moving 30 miles initially in 2004 after i exited in late 2003 .
the first several years they didn't bother me.
i ran into a elder from my former congregation in late 2005 in an antique store - he tried telling me i was wrong for stopping attending meetings.

I read CofC this week on holiday...life changing stuff!
by Lozhasleft inhi everyone...thank you for all your well wishes for my scottish hols...it was nice..warm dry weather...lovely scenery...a good rest... what i will remember the most about the holiday is that i read ray franz's book there...in fact i struggled to put it down.
it was so revealing and informative but was also written without bitterness or malice.
it stirred many emotions within me ...too many probably...anger, remorse, indignation, sorrow, heartbreak, frustration, sympathy....you name it.... a big emotional journey for me....thanks to all for the recommend i would hate to have missed it..... loz x.

I read Cof C and found it very enlightening. I would also like to read In Search Of Christian Freedom. Need to get that ordered.

I have not been bothered by the elders at all and once in a while someone will stop by and leave mags in the door. I kinda thought that after the Memorial I'd be called on, it was the first I had ever missed, but so far nothing. Hope my luck holds out!

If You Weren't In Rapt Attention What Did You Think About During The Meetings?
by minimus ini used to think of leaving early.
at the end i started making excuses to leave (supposedly work related) so that i could just get out of there.
i wanted a drink!.

I would make plans to leave early or if I could'nt do that I'd work on my weekly budget or grocery list. Got a lot done actually. Oh, I'd also balance my checkbook sometimes.

Is There Anyone You Truly HATE???
by minimus ini thought about that question myself and i don't think i really hate anyone.
i guess i could hate bin laden or some nameless evil terrorist but no one comes to mind..

There is only one man in this world that I truly depise. He used to be an elder! But like Blondie said, it's really a waste of energy, so I don't think about it much anymore.

"Jehovah has really blessed me."
by stillin ini was at dinner with witness friends last night when one of the guys started that up.
i kept my mouth shut, let him have his say for a while; it's good to feel gratitude and i'm glad for him that he feels so blessed, but never, even in my most "spiritually healthy" days have i boasted like that.
finally, i spoke up with "how do you think that makes me, almost unemployed and struggling these days, feel?

I have a friend that used to pray to be blessed when she went grocery shopping so she would buy the right food with the amount of money she had to spend. I thought that was crazy even back then. I mean really, don't we all have enough common sense to know what our family needs to eat? Really!!!!!
